    Abstract: A stand-alone printer (10) for transferring an image from photographic film (64) is provided with a scanning member (60) for producing a digital image captured on the film and a printing member (34) for printing the digital images on a print medium (26). Instruction for scanning and image processing may be provided to a controller (22) through a user interface (38) which has a plurality of activating buttons for initiating functions. A film developing unit is integrated within the printing member for developing film from a camera.
