A touch display device (200) comprising a display panel (DP) and a touch driver circuit (STIC) is configured to detect a touch by a finger (FG) or a pen (PEN) and to operate in a pen search mode (Fig. 13) and a local scan mode (Fig. 14), each mode comprising display and blank periods. The touch driver circuit (STIC) is configured to output a pen communications information signal (BCS) to touch electrodes (TE) for transmitting the pen communications information signal (BCS) to the pen (PEN) during blank periods of the pen search mode and to sense a pen output signal (POS) output by the pen (PEN) in response to the pen communications information signal (BCS) during the display periods.

The present embodiments may provide a touch display device (100) including: a display panel (110) in which a plurality of data lines (DL), a plurality of gate lines (GL), and a plurality of touch electrodes (TE) are disposed; a gate-driving circuit (130) configured to drive the plurality of gate lines (GL); a data-driving circuit (120) configured to drive the plurality of data lines (DL); and a touch-driving circuit (140) configured to drive the plurality of touch electrodes (TE) while the plurality of data lines (DL) and the plurality of gate lines (GL) are driven. In this touch display device (100), while a touch-driving signal (TDS) swings with a predetermined amplitude, a data signal (VDATA) and a gate signal may also swing with the predetermined amplitude. According to the present embodiments, it is possible to enable high-speed image display and high-speed touch sensing, to perform a display operation and a touch operation simultaneously, and to display an image normally without any image change.

A display device having a built-in touchscreen and a driving chip, a circuit film, and a chip-on-film (COF) type driving circuit (IDC) included in the display device. The COF type driving circuit (IDC) performs data driving and touch driving in a combined manner. A source driving circuit (SDC) outputs image data voltages through a number of data channels (DCH 1, ..., DCH N). At least one touch driving circuit (TDC) outputs touch driving signals (TDS) through a number of touch channels (TCH 1, ..., TCH M). The source driving circuit (SDC) and the at least one touch driving circuit (TDC) are mounted on an integrated circuit film (ICF). A number of data channel lines (DCL) electrically connected to the number of data channels (DCH 1, ..., DCH N) and a number of touch channel lines (TCL) electrically connected to the number of touch channels (TCH 1, ..., TCH M) are disposed on the integrated circuit film (ICF). A noise avoidance line (NAL) disposed on the integrated circuit film (ICF) is located outward of at least one outermost touch channel line (TCL_X, TCL_Y, TCL_A, TCL_B, TCL_C, TCL_D).
