Abstract:
The method involves calculating two stroke estimation values and determining a stroke reference value by comparing one stroke estimation value with another stroke estimation value. A compensation value related to the comparison result is added to or subtracted from a preset stroke reference value. Compressor stroke is controlled by varying voltage applied to a motor based on the stroke reference value and one estimation value. One stroke estimation value of the compressor is calculated based on a current, a voltage applied to the motor of the compressor and preset parameters of the motor. Another stroke estimation value is calculated based detected-counter electromotive force value of the compressor motor. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for controlling operation of a compressor.
