Abstract: Disclosed are a method for converting a frame format and an apparatus using the same. The method may include: decoding an encoded multiview video compression (MVC)-compatible frame using an MVC decoder; and converting the decoded MVC-compatible frame into an advanced 3D frame. Accordingly, a different frame format may be played by an existing image processing device.
