Abstract: An apparatus for transmitting/receiving multicast data in a wireless communication system and method thereof are disclosed. The present invention includes receiving information including an M2M group identifier (MGID) assigned to an M2M (machine-to-machine) device from a base station, receiving a message related to M2M multicast assignment having the MGID information applied thereto from the base station, and receiving the multicast data from the base station in accordance with instruction of the message from the base station, wherein the multicast data comprises a flow identifier (FID) field in a MAC header of a MAC PDU (medium access control packet data unit) for a multicast service flow and wherein the FID field is set to a specific value.
