    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a control method capable of, by using a current value of a nozzle, determining whether a nozzle is separated from a vacuum cleaner and whether the nozzle is reconnected to the vacuum cleaner after separation. To this end, a vacuum cleaner may comprise a nozzle connectable to a suction unit for suctioning dusts. The nozzle may comprise a rotary cleaning unit for applying pressure to a cleaning target surface so as to separate a foreign substance therefrom, and a nozzle motor for driving the rotary cleaning unit. In order to drive the nozzle, a voltage having been controlled by a pulse width modulation (PWM) method is applied, and a measurement unit included in the vacuum cleaner may measure a current value of the nozzle, the current value depending on the applied voltage.

    Abstract: A device for driving a plurality of motors and an electric apparatus having the same is disclosed. The device includes an inverter connected to a DC terminal, a multi-phase motor connected to the inverter, a single-phase motor serially connected to the multi-phase motor, and a first capacitor and a second capacitor connected in series between a first end and a second end of the DC terminal, wherein the single-phase motor is connected to the multi-phase motor, and a node between the first capacitor and the second capacitor. Accordingly, a plurality of motors serially connected with each other can be driven by using a single inverter.

    Abstract: A device for driving a plurality of motors, including an inverter connected to a DC terminal; a multi-phase motor connected to the inverter; and a single-phase motor serially connected to the multi-phase motor, wherein a number of frequency of current input to the multi-phase motor when driving the single-phase motor and the multi-phase motor at the same speed is smaller than the number of frequency of current input to the multi-phase motor when driving the single-phase motor and the multi-phase motor at different speeds. Accordingly, a plurality of motors can be simultaneously driven at different speeds, by using a single inverter.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a power converting device and a home appliance including the same. A power converting device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a first capacitor, a first switching element turned on to output a first voltage stored in the first capacitor to a first node which is one end of an inductive load, a second switching element, one end of which is connected to the first switching element and which is turned on to decrease the voltage of the first node to the first voltage, a third switching element turned on to output a second voltage greater than the first voltage to the first node which is one end of the inductive load, and a fourth switching element, one end of which is connected to the third switching element and which is turned on to decrease the voltage of the first node to the ground voltage. Accordingly, switching loss may be reduced when power is supplied to an inductive load.

    Abstract: A motor assembly includes a shaft configured to form a rotational axis of a motor, a rotor coupled to the shaft, and a plurality of cores provided along the circumference of the rotor and configured to form a magnetic path. The cores are spaced apart from the outer circumferential surface of the rotor by a predetermined distance and configured to surround at least a portion of the outer circumferential surface of the rotor, and each comprise: a pole shoe having a first surface parallel to the radial direction of the rotor; and a pole arm extending from the pole shoe toward the radially outer side of the rotor. Among the plurality of cores, the first surfaces formed on the pole shoes of adjacent cores are symmetrical with respect to the radial direction of the rotor.
