Abstract: A scroll compressor includes a casing accommodating a rotary shaft and a driving unit, a first scroll making an orbiting movement by the rotary shaft, a second scroll engaged with the first scroll to form a compression chamber and having a bypass hole bypassing a refrigerant sucked into the compression chamber to an internal space of the casing, and a back-pressure chamber assembly pressing the second scroll toward the first scroll, wherein the back-pressure chamber assembly includes: a back-pressure space, a first valve unit allowing the bypass hole and the internal space of the casing to selectively communicate with each other, and a second valve unit opened and closed to selectively supply the refrigerant of the back-pressure space to the first valve unit to operate the first valve unit, and positioned to be fixed to the casing.

Abstract: A scroll compressor according to the present invention includes: a second scroll provided between a frame and a first scroll and forming compression chambers with the first scroll while orbiting relative to the first scroll; a discharge port provided in the first scroll to allow refrigerant compressed in the compression chamber to a lower side of the first scroll; a discharge passage formed through the first scroll and the frame to guide the refrigerant discharged through the discharge port to an upper side of the frame; and a discharge cover coupled to the first scroll, and having a space part for accommodating end portions of the discharge port and the discharge passage to guide the refrigerant discharged through the discharge port to the discharge passage, wherein a volume of a discharge space defined in the space part by the first scroll is 4.5 or more, obtained by dividing the volume of the discharge space by a stroke volume as a total volume of an initial compression chamber among the compression chambers.

Thus, during oil sealing through the refrigerant discharge pipe, a flux path area of a driving motor (120) may be ensured, and a number of winding wires and/or a coil diameter of a stator coil may be ensured. Thus, efficiency of the driving motor may be maintained and backflow or overflow of oil through the refrigerant discharge pipe may be suppressed. In addition, during operation of the compressor, oil may be suppressed from being excessively leaked through the refrigerant discharge pipe without having to include a separate oil separator inside or inside the casing.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a scroll compressor and an air conditioner having the same, and the scroll compressor includes a flow path guide disposed between a motor unit and a compression unit to separate a refrigerant flow path and an oil flow path. A guide discharge hole communicating with a discharge passage of the compression unit is formed axially through the flow path guide and a guide passage communicating with the guide discharge hole is annularly defined, such that a discharge guide protrusion surrounding the guide discharge hole extends toward the motor unit. Accordingly, inner and outer spaces of the flow path guide can communicate with each other while the refrigerant flow path and the oil flow path are separated, which results in securing a space of an oil recovery passage to allow quick oil recovery and simplifying a structure of the flow path guide to reduce manufacturing costs.
