There is disclosed an outdoor unit comprising a case provided to define an exterior design and comprising a plurality of side panels having an inlet hole providing a path for sucking external air, a base plate supporting the plurality of the side panels, an upper panel having an outlet hole for discharging the external air sucked via the inlet hole to the outside; a heat-exchanger provided in the case and configured to exchange heat with the external air sucked via the inlet hole; a sliding plate slidingly provided in the base plate and supporting the compressor module and movable via the opening to expose the compressor module outside the case; and a compressor module configured to supply a refrigerant that exchanging heat with the external air to the heat-exchanger, such that the compressor module may be manipulative outside and demounted when the sliding plate is located in the exposure position.
Abstract:
An air conditioner and a method of operating the same are provided. The air conditioner includes a noise sensor, sets a target noise level for controlling the operation of the air conditioner according to ambient noise measured by the noise sensor, and changes the operational settings of the compressor and outdoor unit fan to ensure that noise from the air conditioner does not exceed an environmental noise regulatory value. Accordingly, the air conditioner and the method of operating the same can allow for more efficient low noise operation by detecting ambient noise around the air conditioner and controlling the operation of the air conditioner according to the ambient noise level, and offer a more pleasant environment by eliminating the user's discomfort from noise.

An outdoor unit for an air conditioning system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a case forming an exterior of the outdoor unit; a base installed on a lower plate of the case; a vibration-proof member supporting the base between the lower plate and the base; and a machine room part including a compressor and accumulator connected to each other by a refrigerant suction pipe, and installed on the base, wherein the compressor and the accumulator each may be coupled to the base with a rigid coupling structure. Accordingly, when the compressor is driven, the compressor, the accumulator, and the base behave with the same behavior pattern, so that vibration and stress acting on the suction pipe and discharge pipe of the compressor can be effectively reduced.

There is disclosed an outdoor unit an outdoor unit that may attach a cover to a case by using a magnetic member and have an empty space formed between the case and the cover as large as the thickness of the magnetic member, wherein air or a sound-proof or meta material may be filled in the empty space and a cover for covering the case of the outdoor unit may include several pieces that are detachably connected with each other like Lego pieces, and the cover may be attached to the other area of an outer surface of the outdoor unit except the area having an inlet for sucking external air and an outlet hole for discharging the external air drawn into the outdoor unit via the inlet outside again.
