Abstract: A mobile terminal capable of receiving a touch input and a control method thereof are provided. The mobile terminal includes: a display unit configured to receive a touch input drawn along a portion or the entirety of a shape of an icon corresponding to a pre-set application and output the icon according to the touch input; and a controller configured to execute the application corresponding to the icon drawn along the touch input.
