    Abstract: A refrigerating apparatus may include a main body having an interior space in which an article is accommodated, a door configured to open and close an opening of the main body, a compressor configured to compress a non-azeotropic mixed refrigerant, a condenser configured to condense the compressed non-azeotropic mixed refrigerant, a hotline provided at a contact portion between the main body and the door through which the condensed non-azeotropic mixed refrigerant flows, an expander configured to expand the non-azeotropic mixed refrigerant, heat of which is radiated by the hotline, and an evaporator configured to evaporate the expanded non-azeotropic mixed refrigerant to supply cold air to the interior space. According to such structure, even when the non-azeotropic mixed refrigerant is used, a function of the hotline to prevent dew formation may be normally performed with hot refrigerant.

    Abstract: A refrigerator including a refrigerator body including a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment, a refrigerating compartment cooling circuit including a refrigerating compartment compressor for compressing refrigerant, a refrigerating compartment condenser, a refrigerating compartment expansion unit, and a refrigerating compartment evaporator for causing the refrigerant to exchange heat with the refrigerating compartment; a freezing compartment cooling circuit including a freezing compartment compressor for compressing refrigerant, a freezing compartment condenser, a freezing compartment expansion unit, and a freezing compartment evaporator; a refrigerating compartment temperature sensor; a freezing compartment temperature sensor; and a control unit for controlling the refrigerating compartment compressor and the freezing compartment compressor to be concurrently operated so as to proceed to a concurrent operation mode when the refrigerating compartment and the freezing compartment are under a concurrent cooling condition, and for controlling one or both of the refrigerating compartment compressor and the freezing compartment compressor to be operated so as to proceed to a selective operation mode in consideration of a previous operation state when the refrigerating compartment and the freezing compartment are under a selective cooling condition.

    Abstract: A refrigerator is disclosed. The refrigerator includes a first compressor (110) for compressing refrigerant, a first condenser for condensing refrigerant compressed by the first compressor, a first expansion valve for lowering temperature and pressure of refrigerant condensed by the first condenser, a first evaporator for evaporating refrigerant passed through the first expansion valve, a second compressor (210) for compressing refrigerant, a second condenser for condensing refrigerant compressed by the second compressor, a second expansion valve for lowering temperature and pressure of refrigerant condensed by the second condenser, and a second evaporator for evaporating refrigerant passed through the second expansion valve. The first condenser and second condenser include refrigerant tubes arranged to hold cooling fins in common, thereby forming a common-fin-held condenser (300).

    Abstract: A method for controlling a refrigerating system using a non-azeotropic mixed refrigerant is provided. The refrigerating system may include a first evaporator configured to supply cold air to a freezer compartment located upstream and a second evaporator configured to supply cold air to a refrigerating compartment located downstream, based on a flow direction of the non-azeotropic mixed refrigerant. The method may include a first operation comprising operating a compressor, a freezer compartment fan to blow air to the first evaporator, and a refrigerating compartment fan to blow air to the second evaporator; a second operation comprising when the freezer compartment reaches a target temperature or the refrigerating compartment reaches a target temperature, continuously operating the compressor, and stopping the freezer compartment fan or the refrigerating compartment fan corresponding to one of the freezer compartment or the refrigerating compartment that reaches the target temperature; and a third operation comprising when both the freezer compartment and the refrigerating compartment reach the target temperatures, turning off both of the refrigerating compartment fan and the freezer compartment fan and stopping the compressor.

    Abstract: A control method for a refrigerator includes sensing a temperature of a storage room; operating a cool air supply at a cooling power when the sensed temperature of the storage room is equal to or above a first reference temperature; operating the cool air supply at a delay power, which is less than the cooling power, when the sensed temperature of the storage room is equal to or below a second reference temperature, which is less than the first reference temperature while the cool air supply is operating at the cooling power; and adjusting the cooling power or the delay power of the cool air supply according to the temperature of the storage room while the cool air supply is operating at the delay power, and operating the cool air supply at the determined adjusted cooling power or delay power.

    Abstract: Provided is a refrigerator, which includes a main body, a door, an evaporator, a defrosting heater, a defrosting sensor, and a control part. The main body includes a food storage space and an evaporation compartment. The door selectively closes the food storage space. The evaporator is disposed in the evaporation compartment. The defrosting heater is disposed at a side of the evaporator to remove frost from an outer surface of the evaporation compartment or the evaporator. The defrosting sensor is disposed at a side of the evaporation compartment or the evaporator to sense a frost formation amount. The control part receives a sensed value transmitted from the defrosting sensor, and controls an operation of the defrosting heater according to the sensed value. A sensing period of the defrosting sensor is varied according to a frost formation amount sensed by the defrosting sensor.
