Abstract: A laundry treating machine (100) and a control method thereof are provided. The laundry treating machine (100) may include a drum (130) rotatably provided in a tub (120), an air supply device (160) to supply air to the tub (120), a cooling water supply device (200) to supply cooling water to an inner surface of the tub (120) such that moisture contained in air is condensed at the inner surface of the tub (120), and a controller (225) to control the cooling water supply device (200) to selectively supply cooling water based on user selection. When a drying course is selected, the controller (225) determines a particular drying course to be performed (S110) and, based on the determined drying course, either cooling water necessary to generate condensed water is supplied, or the supply of cooling water is stopped, and the drying course is performed.
