A mobile communication terminal and an operation method thereof are provided. In the operation method of the communication terminal, the mobile communication terminal is connectable to a first communication network and a second communication network. The method includes: connecting to at least one of the first and second communication networks; executing an application; determining whether the executed application is an adaptive application that provides a different user interface screen for each communication network; upon execution of the adaptive application, generating a second user interface screen corresponding to the second communication network if the mobile communication terminal is connected to the second communication network, and generating a first user interface screen corresponding to the first communication network if the mobile communication terminal is not connected to the second communication network; and displaying either the first user interface screen or the second user interface screen. A user can be provided with more diverse information depending on network environment, and is able to easily recognize the type of a currently connected communication network.

The present invention includes a touchscreen configured to receive a touch input from a first pointer and to receive a touch input from a second pointer, and a controller configured to control the touchscreen based on at least one touch input from the first pointer and the second pointer, wherein in response to receiving a touch trace input from the first pointer while the touch input from the second pointer is maintained at the touchscreen, the controller is configured to control the touchscreen to display a writing object based on the touch trace input from the first pointer.
