Abstract:
A dryer (100) includes a drum (140) configured to receive a laundry item within its internal volume, a variable member (160) positioned within the drum (140) and configured to be movable in a lengthwise direction of the drum (140) to thereby vary the internal volume of the drum (140), a motor (170) disposed on a rear surface of the drum (140), the motor (170) including a rotation shaft that is configured to rotate in a forward rotation direction or a reverse rotation direction, an adjustment shaft (180) coupled to the rotation shaft and configured to extend to a preset position inside the drum (140), and a bracket (190) fitted to the adjustment shaft (180) and configured to couple the variable member (160) and the adjustment shaft (180). The coupling of the variable member (160) and the adjustment shaft (180) enables movement of the variable member (160) according to a rotation of the adjustment shaft (180).

Abstract:
Disclosed are a control method of a dryer, and a controller in which the control method can be implemented. The control method includes detecting at least one of temperature and relative humidity of air discharged from a drum rotating in one direction, comparing a variation rate of the detected at least one of the temperature and the relative humidity with a reference value to sense occurrence of entanglement inside the drum, rotating the drum in a reverse direction such that the entanglement is clear when the entanglement has occurred; and maintaining a rotational direction of the drum during a certain time such that, after the rotational direction is changed, the rotational direction of the drum is not changed back during the certain time.
Abstract:
A condensing type clothes dryer having a heat pump cycle, includes: a drum (110) where an object to be dried is accommodated; a circulation duct (120) which forms a circulation passage such that air circulates via the drum (110); and a heat pump cycle (140) having a plurality of evaporators (141 a, 141 b) disposed close to each other in the circulation duct (120), having a condenser (142) disposed at a downstream side of the evaporators (141 a, 141 b) in a spaced manner, and configured to absorb heat of air discharged from the drum (110) through the evaporators (141 a, 141 b), and to transfer the heat to air introduced into the drum (110) through the condenser (142), by using an operation fluid which circulates via the evaporators (141 a, 141 b) and the condenser (142), wherein the heat pump cycle (140) includes: a plurality of divergence pipes (146a, 146b) which form a divergence passage such that the operation fluid discharged from the condenser (142) is introduced into each of the plurality of evaporators (141 a, 141b); a plurality of electronic expansion valves (144a, 144b) installed at the divergence pipes (146a, 146b), and configured to open and close the divergence passage; and a control unit (153) configured to control a flow amount of the operation fluid to be introduced into each of the evaporators (141 a, 141 b) by controlling an open degree of the divergence passage based on a super heat degree of the operation fluid passing through each of the evaporators (141 a, 141b).
