The first treating apparatus (100a) is made up by a cabinet (110), a front panel (112), an upper panel (119), a side panel (1 16) and support panels (117). The introduction port for introducing the laundry into the tub is closed by a door (120) which carries a control panel (122). A detergent supply module (200) which is closed by a module door (220) stores detergents and provides the stored detergents to the tub. The detergent supply module (200) is detachable provided at the opening of the cabinet (110).

A laundry processing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a cabinet; a tub provided in the cabinet and receiving water; a drum provided in the tub and receiving clothes; a water supply tube which is provided in the cabinet and through which water provided from an external water supply source flows; and a detergent pipe which is provided in the cabinet and through which detergent discharged from a detergent storage unit in which the detergent is stored flows, wherein the cross-sectional area of the water supply tube decreases along the flow direction of the water and then increases again to form a neck unit, and the detergent pipe is connected to the neck unit to provide detergent into the water supply tube through the neck unit.

In one embodiment, a clothes treatment apparatus comprises: a cabinet forming an exterior and having an open upper side; a top cover provided on the top of the cabinet and having an inlet through which laundry can enter and exit; a door coupled to the top cover and opening and closing the inlet; a tub provided inside the cabinet and having a tub inlet communicating with the inlet; a drum provided inside the tub and accommodating clothes; a driving unit provided under the drum to rotate the drum; and a laundry detergent cartridge detachably provided on the top cover and storing a detergent for treating laundry, wherein the laundry detergent cartridge includes a body in which a storage space for storing the laundry detergent is formed, wherein a part of the bottom surface of the body is formed lower than other parts, wherein the lower part of the bottom surface has a discharge port and includes three or more protrusions that protrude downward from the body and extend to a lower position than the discharge port.

Disclosed are a laundry treatment machine and a method for controlling the same. In operation of a pump for circulating and draining water, since the load of water to be drained is sensed and whether an error occurs due to foreign substances is determined based on a current and a rotation speed of a motor included in the pump, unnecessary operation of the pump may not be performed, damage of the pump due to overload may be prevented, noise due to pump operation in overloaded state may be solved, and the efficiency of pump control may be improved.
