Abstract: The invention provides a laundry treating apparatus comprising a cabinet that defines an exterior appearance; a drum rotatably received in the cabinet and configured to accommodate laundry; a drive unit configured to rotate the drum; a hot air supply unit provided to be communicated with the drum to supply high-temperature air to the drum; a collection portion provided to collect the water condensed from the drum and to be communicated with the hot air supply unit; a drainage pump configured to discharge the water collected in the collection portion outside the cabinet; a controller (P) configured to control the operations of the drive unit, the hot air supply unit and the drainage pump; characterized in that the laundry treating apparatus further comprises a thawing command input unit configured to input a command for thawing the water of the collection portion to the controller (P).
