Abstract: Disclosed is about a motor operated compressor. The motor operated compressor according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is applied with a vapor injection method. In order to implement the vapor injection method, a vapor refrigerant is supplied to the motor operated compressor.
The vapor refrigerant flows along a vapor refrigerant passage formed inside a wall portion of a main housing. The vapor refrigerant passage is in communication with a scroll inner passage formed in a fixed scroll. The scroll inner passage communicates with a compression chamber, so that the vapor refrigerant introduced in is flowed into the compression chamber.
Accordingly, the vapor injection method may be applied without having a separate member to form a passage in an inner space of the main housing. Therefore, a utilization of the inner space of the main housing is improved, and passages of the vapor refrigerant and the refrigerant can be formed in a simple manner.-

Abstract: A motor-operated compressor is provided that may include an orbiting scroll and a rear housing supporting a rear surface of the orbiting scroll. The rear housing may be provided with a discharge space communicating with a discharge port of the orbiting scroll formed at a central portion of a surface facing the orbiting scroll, an oil separation space formed at one side of the discharge space to communicate with the discharge space, and an oil storage space formed at an edge portion of the surface facing the orbiting scroll. An oil return passage may be provided between the oil separation space and the oil storage space, so as to guide oil separated in the oil separation space to the oil storage space. Accordingly, a space for storing oil separated from a discharged refrigerant may be sufficiently secured while allowing the rear housing defining the oil storage space to be easily fabricated.

Abstract: A motor-operated compressor includes a compression part including a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll that form a compression chamber, and configured to compress fluid by an orbiting motion of the orbiting scroll relative to the fixed scroll; a motor part installed at one side of the compression part, and configured to generate a drive force to cause the orbiting scroll to make the orbiting motion; a rotary shaft connected to the motor part and the orbiting scroll, respectively, to transmit the drive force generated by the motor part to the orbiting scroll; a main frame disposed between the compression part and the motor part in an axial direction of the rotary shaft, and configured to support the fixed scroll in the axial direction of the rotary shaft; a discharge chamber formed between the fixed scroll and the main frame, and configured to be supplied with fluid discharged from the compression part; and a discharge part formed at the main frame and communicated with outside of the motor-operated compressor and the discharge chamber, respectively, to cause fluid discharged from the compression part to the discharge chamber to be discharged to the outside of the motor-operated compressor.
