    Abstract: A power supply apparatus having a power saving function and an air conditioner including the same are disclosed. The power supply apparatus includes a first communication unit, a first controller configured to transmit a control signal to the first communication unit, a main power supply including a switched-mode power supply (SMPS) connected to an AC power supply and configured to supply power and a standby power switching unit configured to selectively switch on or off power supplied to the SMPS, an auxiliary power supply connected to the AC power supply, a second communication unit connected to the first communication unit via a communication line and configured to receive power from the auxiliary power supply, a switching driver connected to the auxiliary power supply and the second communication unit and configured to supply driving power to the standby power switching unit according to the control signal, and a second controller configured to receive power from the SMPS and selectively supply power to the switching driver.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to inter-phase short-circuit detection, and particularly, to a method and apparatus for detecting inter-phase short-circuit of a three-phase motor, and an air conditioner including the same. The apparatus for detecting inter-phase short-circuit of a three-phase motor according to the present invention includes: a power supply unit for rectifying AC power to supply DC power; an inverter for generating three-phase current for driving the three-phase motor using the DC power, the inverter including a plurality of switching elements including high-side switching elements and low-side switching elements corresponding to three phases, and a current sensor commonly connected to the switching elements; a gate driver for driving the plurality of switching elements; and a controller for controlling the gate driver such that current flowing through the high-side switching elements and current flowing through the low-side switching elements partially short-circuit to sense a quantity of current flowing through the current sensor and determine inter-phase short-circuit.

The signal processing device of an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a quality calculator configured to calculate an source quality of an image signal received from an external settop box or a network; an image quality setter configured to set an image quality of the image signal based on the calculated source quality; and an image quality processor configured to perform image quality processing on the image signal based on the set image quality, wherein in response to the source quality of the received image signal being changed at a first time point, the image quality setter changes an image quality setting sequentially from a first setting to a second setting; and based on the image quality setting, the image quality processor performs image quality processing. Accordingly, flicker may be reduced when an image quality is changed due to a change in the source quality of the received image signal.
