Abstract: Disclosed is a method of controlling a washing machine, the method comprising: a step of, while water is sprayed into a drum through a direct water nozzle, rotating the drum at a spin-dry rinse speed, where laundry in the drum is able to rotate along with the drum while adhered to and not falling from the drum even when the laundry is lifted to a highest point inside the drum, and draining the tub while the drum is rotated at the spin-dry rinse speed; a step of increasing a water level of the tub by providing a water supply to the tub, and circulating water in the tub to be sprayed into the drum through a circulation nozzle, wherein, while the water is sprayed through the circulation nozzle, the drum is rotated at a laundry adherence speed that is set to be lower than the spin-dry rinse speed within a range where the laundry is able to rotate along with the drum without falling from the highest point inside the drum; and a step of, while the draining of the tub and the spraying of the water through the circulation nozzle are stopped and at least a portion of the drum is submerged in water contained in the tub, accelerating the drum from the laundry adherence speed to a first tub cleaning speed.

Abstract: A method of controlling a washing machine includes: sensing a laundry amount accommodated in a drum; performing water supply into the drum according to the sensed laundry amount; rotating a pump motor at a certain initial rotation speed and transferring washing water discharged from the drum to at least one nozzle for spraying water into the drum; sensing a water level in the drum; performing a re-supply of water at least once until the sensed water level reaches a set water level; and increasing the rotation speed of the pump motor whenever the re-supply of water is performed, so that as the rotation speed of the pump motor is increased, the reaching range of the water stream sprayed through the nozzle gradually expands from the lower side of the circumferential surface of the drum to the rear surface of the drum.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of controlling a washing machine having a tub for containing water, a drum rotatably provided in the tub, at least one nozzle disposed in front of the drum to spray water toward the drum, a washing motor configured to rotate the drum, and a circulation pump configured to circulate water discharged from the tub to the at least one nozzle, the method including: a step (a) of supplying water with detergent into the tub to a first water level; a step (b) of operating the circulation pump at a first speed such that the washing motor is repeatedly accelerated and braked while the circulation pump is operating at the first speed, causing laundry in the drum to be stuck to an inner circumferential surface of the drum in response to the acceleration of the washing motor and causing the laundry to fall from the inner circumferential surface of the drum in response to the deceleration of the washing motor, wherein the first speed is set within a range in which the water discharged from the circulation pump is not allowed to reach the at least one nozzle or, even if the water reaches the at least one nozzle, the sprayed water is not allowed to reach an inner circumferential surface of the drum; a step (c) of supplying water into the tub such that a level of water in the tub rises from the first water level to a second water level; and a step (d) of repeating acceleration and deceleration of the washing motor such that the circulation pump is accelerated in response to the acceleration of the washing moto, and the circulation pump is decelerated in response to the deceleration of the washing motor.
