Abstract:
A thin film transistor array substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent deterioration of display quality by preventing off-current from being generated in a semiconductor pattern. Gate lines(102) and data lines(104) are intersected each other, with a gate insulating layer(144) being interposed between the lines. A thin film transistor(106) is formed on an intersecting region of the gate line and the data line. A pixel electrode(118) is connected to the thin film transistor. The thin film transistor has a gate electrode(108) connected to the gate line, a semiconductor pattern(147) overlapped with the gate electrode, a source electrode(110) connected to the semiconductor pattern and the data line, and an oxide layer(160) covering the gate electrode.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for driving a liquid crystal display device, which prevent a poor image quality resulting from non-uniformity of pixel signal polarities which is caused by the number of channel outputs of data driving circuits. SOLUTION: The driving apparatus is provided with; a liquid crystal display element having a plurality of input channels; a plurality of data driving circuits which generate video signals having polarity patterns by polarity signals and supply the video signals to input channels of the liquid crystal display element through a plurality of output channels; a timing control part for generating the polarity signals; and a polarity control part which controls the polarity signals and supplies the polarity signals to the data driving circuits on the basis of first selection signals corresponding to the numbers of output channels of respective data driving circuits and second selection signals corresponding to repeat periods of the polarity patterns. A color filter has a color filter segment (301-303) that corresponds to a sub-pixel region, and comprised of a color filter portion (320) and a transparent portion (310). The sub-pixel region has two adjacent data lines that intersect with two adjacent gate lines. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) an LCD device; and (B) an LCD device structure manufacturing method.
