Abstract: An LCD module is provided to prevent tearing of optical sheets and minimize separation of a diffusion plate by forming a first stepped portion having a relative large area on a guide panel and forming a smaller second stepped portion on the first stepped portion. A backlight unit(100) includes a light source, a diffusion plate(112) disposed on the light source, and at least one optical sheet(114) disposed between the diffusion plate and an LCD panel(2). A bi-stepped portion(120) supports the LCD panel, and supports the diffusion plate and the optical sheet at a bottom surface of one side. The bi-stepped portion includes a first stepped portion facing a side surface of the optical sheet and protruding from one side bottom of the guide panel, and a second stepped portion having an area smaller than the first stepped portion, protruding from the first stepped portion, and point-contacting the diffusion plate.
