    Abstract: A light guide plate for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to obtain a more uniform surface light source by removing brightness nonuniformity according to a position and a fixed bright line generated in a specific position, thereby realizing an improved image. A light guide plate(140) for an LCD refracts light incident from a side(140a) to an upper side(140c) of a liquid crystal panel's(110) direction, and is composed of the side, the other side(140b) opposite to the side, two remaining sides, a level upper side(140c) toward the liquid crystal panel, and a lower side(140d) opposite to the upper side. As a position of the light guide plate recedes from a fluorescent lamp(160), the inclination of the light guide plate is increased in a state that a prism pattern is formed to diffuse light on the lower side. Accordingly, the thickness of the light guide plate is gradually decreased.
