    Abstract: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to prevent partial darkening of a screen due to black spots by capturing black spots generated on a liquid crystal display panel due to ion impurities into a non-display area. A liquid crystal display panel(210) includes a lower and upper glass substrates and a display area. A plurality of data lines(DL1~DLm) and gate lines(GL1~GLm) are formed on the lower glass substrate. The display area includes pixels that are formed by intersection between the plurality of data lines and gate lines. A capture line(220) captures black spots remaining in the display area. The capture line is connected to a common ground to which the data lines are connected in common. The capture line is formed of a conductive material. A current applied from the data lines to the common ground flows through the capture line.
