A freezer for a product includes a housing having a space therein, and an inlet and an outlet in communication with the space; a conveyor having a first side for conveying the product through the space, and a second side opposite to the first side; an agitating apparatus disposed proximate the conveyor for contacting the conveyor at select intervals to agitate the conveyor and displace the product at the first side; a first longitudinal member disposed proximate the first side of the conveyor and having at least one hole extending there through; and at least one circulation device disposed in the space proximate the longitudinal member for directing a cryogenic substance through the at least one hole onto the product.
Abstract:
An impingement plate atomizer apparatus includes an electrostatically charged longitudinal member having an upper surface sized and shaped to receive a liquid cryogen thereon, a lower surface opposite to the upper surface, and at least one hole extending through the longitudinal member; an ultrasonic transducer in contact with the longitudinal member for providing ultrasonic energy thereto for atomizing the liquid cryogen into an electrostatically charged cryogen fog. A method is also provided for providing an eiectrostaticaily charged cryogen fog.

Congelador criogénico (10) para un producto (24), en particular un producto alimenticio, que comprende: - un alojamiento (12) que tiene una cámara interna (16) y un componente de distribución de criógeno (26) dispuesto en su interior; - un transportador (22) para transportar el producto (24) a través de la cámara interna (16); - un escáner láser (50) dispuesto en una entrada (18) del alojamiento (12) para escanear un área de sección transversal del producto (24) que entra en el congelador criogénico (10); - un par de sensores de temperatura infrarrojos (IR) (42, 44), en donde un primer sensor IR (42) está dispuesto aguas abajo del escáner láser (50) y aguas arriba de una entrada (18) a dicha cámara interna (16), y un segundo sensor IR (44) está dispuesto aguas abajo de una salida (20) de dicha cámara interna (16); y - un controlador (52) que interconecta el transportador (22), el escáner láser (50) y el par de sensores de temperatura IR (42, 44) para autoajustar automáticamente la transferencia de calor del producto (24) en la cámara interna (16).
