    Abstract: 595562 Disclosed are a loop rope assembly (1) and a linkable loop rope system suitable for securing an object on a transporting vehicle or securing a protective cover to a boat. The loop rope assembly (1) comprises a main rope segment (3) with a plurality of rope strands (2) and first and second ends. A first end loop is provided on the first end of the main rope segment (3) and a second end loop is provided on the second end of the main rope segment (3). At least one sinusoidal intermediate loop (8) is defined by at least one of the rope strands (2). The intermediate loop (8) comprises an asymmetrical shape relative to the main rope segment (3). The linkable loop rope system comprises at least two loop rope assemblies and a coupling mechanism to realisably couple at least a first one of the at least two rope assemblies to a second one of the at least two rope assemblies.
