Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication system having a device for control and monitor of polarized light which is usable for industrial purposes, is relatively inexpensive, tough and is small in size. SOLUTION: An inline polarimeter 62 coupled to a polarized light controller 66 is small in size and exact and is therefore suitable for various systems and is capable of improving these systems. In an embodiment, the output of the inline polarimeter 62 and the input of the polarized light controller 66 are coupled by a feedback loop 64 and an 'active polarized light control'(APC) is realized.
