Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel producing method of a gold sodium sulfite solution. SOLUTION: A gold sodium sulfite solution is prepared by a method composed of (a) a step for producing barium aurate and a additional by-product by the reaction of Na(AuCl4) with sodium hydroxide and barium hydroxide, (b) a step for producing gold sodium sulfite and an additional by-product by the reaction of the barium aurate solution with sodium sulfite and (c) a step for recovering the gold sodium sulfite solution. The gold sodium sulfite solution is useful for being used for gold electroplating and is used for applications necessary for a pure and soft gold plated film. Solid gold sodium sulfite is produced by freeze-drying.
