    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling-off preventing mechanism providing a falling-off preventing function without a falling off preventing member and superior in assembly workability and capable of increasing movable range of a bolt. SOLUTION: A second member 20 is attached on a first member 30 with using a bolt 10. An intermediate part 16 between an external thread part 12 and a head of the bolt has a diameter 'd' smaller than an inner diameter Mi of the external thread part and at least a part of bolt head width is larger than an outer diameter Mo of the external thread. A internal thread 22 meshing with the external thread part of the bolt and a slot 24 leading to the internal thread are formed on the second member 20 and an internal thread 32 meshing with the external thread of the bolt 10 is formed on the first member 30. Width W of the slot is larger than a diameter 'd' of the intermediate part of the bolt and is smaller than an outer diameter of the internal thread 22.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior optical cable fixing structure which can be grounded by fixing a metal wire through easy handling without damaging its coated optical fibers. SOLUTION: In a fixation block 31, a V-sectioned slit 32 is formed to fix a metal wire 1, and a V-shaped cutting tool 33 composed of a couple of cutting parts is provided at the inner part of the slit 32 except its insertion hole part. The angle of the V-shaped cutting tool 33 is equal to the angle of the V-shaped slit 32 and the cutting parts of the cutting tool 33 are arranged along a couple of slit surfaces of the slit 32. The cutting tool 33 is a single member formed of a conductive material such as metal and grounded. The metal wire 1 can be fixed and grounded by the cutting tool 33 in the slit 33 only by pushing the metal wire 1 with an insulating coating 2 into the slit 32.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the moisture-proofness of the cable drawing-in part of a cable joint storing box and facilitate drawing-in and drawing-out of a cable. SOLUTION: An approximately U-shaped cut-out 70 is formed in the edge of a storing box body 10 and a rubber component 72 is detachably attached to the cut-out 70. The rubber component 72 is folded at the middle in its longitudinal direction so as to retain a cable 48 in the folded part. The inside of the rubber component 72 which retains the cable 48 is made of soft rubber 78 which is easily deformed when it is pressed against the cable 48. The outside of the rubber component 72 is made of hard rubber 80 which is more difficult to be deformed than the soft rubber 78. Outer fillets 84A and 84B which cover both the side edges of the cut-out 70 are formed on both the ends of the rubber component 72. The inner fillet 86 which covers the other end of the rubber component 72 is formed on the one end of the rubber component 72.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior cable waterproof construction which ensures a sufficient waterproofing property, even to a cable having a complicated cross section shape, and makes it possible to exchange packings easily. SOLUTION: A cable waterproof construction is provided with a cylindrical cable case fitted to an apparatus box 1, a cap 4 fitted to the external end part of the cable case 3, and two layers of an internal packing and an external packing interposed and held between the cable case 3 and the cap 4. On the internal peripheral surface of the internal packing 5 which is an opening of the packing portion, an adhesive layer 11 made of material having an adhesive property is formed. An internal cylinder 12 for housing the two layers of packings 5, 6 in is formed, and housed inside the cable case 3. The internal cylinder 12 is cylindrical in shape coaxial with the cable case 3, and is insertable into the cable case 3 from outside the apparatus box 1. The contact surface 18 of the internal packing 5 with the external packing 6 is a rugged surface of screw construction, whose axial cross section is of wavy shape.
