Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an end user to transmit data more efficiently than a conventional method by recognizing the end user related with a pair of a first permanent identifier and a second permanent identifier and transmitting the first permanent identifier and the extended second permanent identifier to a destination entity. SOLUTION: The first permanent identifier and the extended second permanent identifier are transmitted from a first communication device to a home system via a handling system 12. When it is recognized that these first permanent identifier and second extended permanent identifier include data, it is transmitted from the system 16 to the destination entity 6. The system 16 transmits a received edition-changed and first permanent identifier and a received edition-changed and extended second permanent identifier to the entity 6 related with the second part of the matched, stored and extended second permanent identifier via a second communication device 8.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an end user to transmit data more efficiently than a conventional method by allowing a communication device to communicate both of a second permanent identifier and a first permanent identifier to a home system. SOLUTION: A handling system 12 supplies a fixed identifier and a variable identifier to the home system 16 through a network 14 and a second communication device 8. If the system 12 supplies only one of the variable identifier and the fixed identifier, the system 16 requests the other identifier. Then, upon recognizing that the received variable identifier stores data, the system 16 transmits the received fixed identifier and the variable identifier to a destination entity 6 related with the matched and stored fixed identifier via the device 8. Consequently, the end user 2 can transfer data to the entity 6 without requiring establishing a traffic channel.

Consequently, the end user 2 can transfer data to the entity 6 without requiring establishing a traffic channel.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit data efficiently rather than the case that an end user requests a traffic channel and can utilize it through a set long process. SOLUTION: Concerning the method for transferring data, data are transmitted as one part of the permanent identifier of first type related to an end user 2 in a communication system. The permanent identifier of the first type is transmitted together with the permanent identifier of second type related to the end user 2 similarly during a communication procedure before setting a traffic channel in the communication system. In addition to the data, the permanent identifier of the first type contains the information of routing to a home system 16 forming one part of the communication system. Besides, the end user 2 stores the transmitted permanent identifier of the first type and in response to the reception of the stored permanent identifier of the first type during communication, the new permanent identifier of the first type is generated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a third generation mobile station having an integrated ESN which can be certified by a second generation wireless communication system by using remote subscriber information. SOLUTION: A mobile station 20 is provided with an integrated user identity module(I-UIM) 24 and a removable user identity module(R-UIM) according to an inter-second generation standard system protocol. The I-UIM 24 includes an integrated electronic serial number(I-ESN) and integrated subscriber information and the R-UIM includes a removable electronic serial number(R-ESN) and remote subscriber information. The mobile station transmits a pair of the I-ESN and the integrated subscriber information or a pair of the R-ESN and the remote subscriber information depending on the user of the mobile station. The registry of the I-ESN making a pair with the integrated subscriber information and the R-ESN making a pair with the remote subscriber information is managed by a wireless communication system.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transplant a mobile directory number between radio service providers. SOLUTION: In this invention, an entry with respect to a radio terminal is generated by a receiver side HLR 106 and a temporary pointer is generated by a server side HLR 105. A server side radio communication system 101 routes or transfers all calls addressed to a radio terminal that is under implantation to a receiver side radio communication system 102, and the call is handled by the receiver side system 102. When the implant process is completely finished the temporal pointer is deleted or disabled in the HLR 105. As advantages of this method, for example, the adjustment of the implant process is controlled by a receiver side radio service provider and an adverse effect (interruption) to the radio communication service for the subscriber is minimized.

Abstract: The present invention is a method for porting a mobile directory number of a subscriber from a donor wireless service provider to a recipient wireless service provider with minimum interruption to the subscriber's wireless communication service. In one embodiment, the present invention is accomplished by creating an entry for the wireless terminal in the recipient wireless service provider's home location register and a temporary pointer in the donor wireless service provider's home location register, wherein such temporary pointer will cause the donor wireless communication system to route or forward any call intended for the wireless terminal being ported to the recipient wireless communications system for completion in well-known fashion. When the porting process is complete, the temporary pointer is removed or deactivated in the donor wireless service provider's home location register. Advantageously, coordination of the porting process is controlled by the recipient wireless service provider resulting in minimum interruption to the subscriber's wireless communications service.

The destination entity extracts the data from the expanded permanent identifier. In this manner, a traffic channel does not need to be established to transmit the data.
