    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the digital audio broadcast(DAB) system in which distortion is introduced into fast Fourier transformation of a characteristic signal of a communication channel so as to generate a channel impulse response of the communication channel. SOLUTION: The DAB system 10 has an RF transmitter 100, and a receiver 300 generates a characteristic signal denoting each mobile communication channel as a precursor to predict a channel impulse response. The precursor is used to set a coefficient of an equalizer of the receiver 300 thereby compensating distortion such as inter-symbol interference. In order to generate the channel impulse response, fast Fourier transformation(FFT) for the characteristic signal is executed. Then the obtained FFT signal is clipped by using respectively a prescribed upper threshold level and a prescribed lower threshold level for the respective frequency components. Thus, the coefficient of the equalizer is generated, resulting that the equalizer is converged regardless of the presence of a strong reflection signal under a mobile communication environment.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a high speed data communication system from an impulse noise and to reduce the cost of the system. SOLUTION: In the discrete multi-tone(DMT) system for an asynchronous digital subscriber loop(ADSL), ADSL DMT devices 200, 300 are operated by a DMT input signal representing f symbol/sec and generate a DMT output signal denoting the Nf symbol/sec for the transmission, where N is larger than 1, and each symbol from the DMT input signal includes an encoder generated in the DMT output signal in a redundant form. As an example of the redundant form, each symbol from the DMT input signal is repeated in N sets of consecutive symbol periods in the DMT output signals. In another example of the redundant form, all values of N sets of DMT input symbols are transmitted in 2N sets of consecutive symbol periods in the DMT output signal. 2N sets of the consecutive symbols in the DMT output signal include 1) N sets of symbols whose value is respectively equal to each value of N sets of DMT input symbols and 2) and N sets of symbols whose value is a function of N sets of DMT input symbolalues respectively.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system provided with the wireless digital data link of high reliability by making a rotator be present inside a transmitter and compensating the pass band generation of low If signals. SOLUTION: Inside this receiver, received RF signals are inputted to a demodulator 350. The RF down converter 505 of the demodulator 350 down- converts the received RF signals into an IF frequency. Obtained IF output signals are inputted to an IF down converter 510 and the IF down converter 510 outputs pass-band low IF signals 511 whose center is provided in 150Khz including the pilot signals of 250Khz. The low IF signals 511 are used inside the receiver as a source for generating other clock signals for the receiver as reference signals for carrier reproduction. That is, the low IF signals 511 is provided with the center in a first frequency selected so as to be suited to the rotation frequency of the rotator inside the transmitter of reception radio frequency signals.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless digital audio broadcasting system, having radio frequency transmitter and receiver by interleaving interleaver synchronizing signaling and data synchronizing signaling over plural frames. SOLUTION: An encoding signal 116 is the interleaved data stream of 340Kb/s, and each interleaver has the data of 320ms. This encoding signal 116 is inputted to a modulator 150, a signal is generated there and transmitted through a communication channel 200, and this signal is reproduced as an encoding signal 351 by a demodulator 350 of a receiver 300. At such a time, each frame has a header, including 100 pieces of symbols and among these 100 symbols, 86 symbols are used for frame synchronizing and channel sounding. Then, remaining 14 symbols are used for synchronizing the interleaver and data, in the form of an interleave.
