    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a signed document consisting of a document main sentence and a document signature from an unauthorized copying and an unauthorized signing by using a verifying stamp which protects integrity of the signature attached to an electronic document and which is enciphered and which includes a verifying signature and a verifying main sentence. SOLUTION: A verifying signature SV 12 is induced by using an electronic signature and includes timing information and geometric information. On the contrary, a document signature SD 8 similarly induced from the electronic signature, but it includes only the geometric information. That is, the geometric information are separated and the timing information are excluded from the electronic signature in order produce the document signature SD 8. The document signature SD 8 is equivalent to a paper signature like this. The document signature SD 8 includes only the geometric information and a verifying stamp V6 is enciphered. As a result, the timing information are hidden from the recipient of an electronic document E2. Thus, a forger is obstructed from accessing a dynamic signing feature in order to imitate the signature.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broad/non-blocking WDM cross-connecting device 10 (cross-connect device) employing a comparatively small number of wavelength interchangers 13. SOLUTION: The device 10 consists of a first, a second and a third basic structures 11, 12 and 19, and one or more wavelength interchanges 13 for connecting the structures 11 and 12 with each other. A demand, requiring the change in wavelength, is routed through the structure 11, one or more wavelength interchangers 13 and the structure 12. A demand which does not require changes in wavelength is routed only through the structure 19. Thus, a routing algorithm for surely routing any kind of sequences of connection requests and retrieval can be utilized, without disturbing the request which are currently routed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the inspecting precision of a still signature by using still data. SOLUTION: A test signature to be provided as a still two-dimensional pattern is digitized to segment plural strokes and this test signature is compared with a template signature to obtain a dynamic error score to improve a signature inspecting method comparing this error score with a threshold value. The template signature is guided from real time data obtained during inputting an on-line reference signature. The order list of the stroke (stroke permutation) of the template signature is guided out from this real time data. Before or during comparing the test signature and the template signature with each other, the stroke of the test signature is ordered so as to at least partially correspond to the stroke permutation of the template signature. This comparing is executed by using a dynamic planning method between strokes, e.g. Inspecting precision is furthermore improved by combining a dynamic error score and the still error score.

Dynamic data obtained from the reference signature or signatures may be used to improve the thinning of the test signature. Such data may also be used for segmenting the test signature and sequencing the resulting strokes.     Abstract: The present invention provides a wide-sense, non-blocking WDM cross-conne ct that utilizes a relatively small number of wavelength interchangers. The cro ss- connect of the present invention comprises first, second and third fabrics and one o r more wavelength interchangers that interconnect the first and second fabrics. Demands that require a change in wavelength are routed through the first fabric, through one or more of the wavelength interchangers, and through the second fabric. Demands that do not require a change in wavelength are only routed through the third fabric. A routing algorithm is utilized to ensure that any sequence of connection requests and withdrawals can be routed without disturbing any currently routed requests.
