    Abstract: An apparatus for radiometric measurement of thin fluid films includes a housing (1) enclosing means of radiation, a radiation guide, a reflector (4) and one or more detectors (5). The means of radiation is normally an IR radiator (2). The radiation guide is either a radiation tube (3) or a radiation cone (7). The reflector (4) is of the type non-imagining optics. If there is more than one detector (5) normally at least one detector is a reference detector.

    Abstract: Methods and devices relate to radiometric measurement of a thin fluid film (4) using absorption of IR radiation. At least one IR radiator (1) is directed to send signals to an IR detector (2) via a bed (3) on which the fluid film (4) is placed. The IR detector is set to receive IR radiation in a band around a characteristic absorption band of the fluid of the fluid film (4). The present invention is developed for printing presses, where the thickness of fountain solution on the printing plate and the proportion of printing ink in an emulsion of printing ink and fountain solution may be controlled.

    Abstract: A method for increasing productivity and quality in production of cured polymer by a real time measurement of the progress of curing, in a mould cavity, which being filled with a compound to be cured, wherein a signal is generated by a wave at an ultrasonic or equivalent frequency, which is transmitted through the mould cavity, the time for the wave to pass through the compound in the mould and back is detected, and the detected signal being analyzed in a suitable data processing computer , to establish a graph showing a relationship between the time for the wave to pass through the compound in the mould and back, and the time of the curing of the compound. The graph is used to determine a feature of the compound by identifying at least one specific parameter of the graph, and using said parameter to control the production.
