Abstract:
The failure mail identification section and delivery status notification mail identification section identify whether or not the received E-mail data is failure mail and delivery status notification mail , respectively. Based on the identification result, the specific information extraction section extracts information necessary for output from the E-mail data. The format conversion section converts the extracted data to facsimile data. The data edit section edits the converted data. The edited data is transmitted by the facsimile communication unit to the G3 facsimile via PSTN. This allows failure mail and delivery status notification mail to be distinguished from normal E-mail, saving recording paper.
Abstract:
An Internet facsimile device (1) which informs a server (3) of the facsimile number of the final address, receives the mail address of a repeater from the server (3), and then transmits an electronic mail accompanied by image information to an Internet facsimile device (2) corresponding to the received mail address. At this time, a relay transfer command is added to a part of the header of the electronic mail to request the relay transfer. The Internet facsimile device (2) which functions as a relay device converts only predetermined specific information among the header information included in the electronic mail into information of the same format as that of the image information, and the converted specific information is transmitted to the facsimile device (4) of the final address.
Abstract:
A plurality of documents including at least one symbol is scanned by a scanner section so as to be converted to image data. The symbol is recognized from image data by a symbol recognizing section. Next, a table creating section creates a link table in which the symbol included in one page is made to correspond to the other page having a common shaped symbol. A document creating section creates an HTML document using the link table based on an HTML. When the symbol of one page in the HTML document on a screen is clicked, an access to the other page can be obtained.
Abstract:
A communication result notifying method for notifying a result of a process result in a facsimile machine or a printing machine to a notification destination node, comprises the following steps. A step of obtaining an e-mail address of the notification destination node from facsimile data or print, received via a LAN from a requesting node, a step of detecting a result of a process result in the facsimile machine or printing machine, and a step of notifying the detected process result to the e-mail address of the notification destination node.
Abstract:
Means (1) for transmitting/receiving an electronic mail to/from a network is provided. From a received mail, its identification information is generated and a reply mail including the identification information is sent to the sender of the mail. When an attached file of the received mail cannot be opened, a message ID of the received mail is added in the identification information. In such a manner, even when a large capacity memory or a hard disk is not provided, whether the data has been sent normally or erroneously is reported to the sender accurately and easily.
Abstract:
In a facsimile communication method for transmitting facsimile data to a reception terminal from a facsimile machine via a communication network, a transmission process in the facsimile machine includes the following steps: (a) a step of saving image data of an original to be transmitted as facsimile data in a storage; (b) a step of generating access information data for access to the image data, saved in the storage, from the reception terminal via the transmission network; (c) a step of sending the access information data to the reception terminal by an e-mail; and (d) a step of transmitting the image data in the storage to the reception terminal from the facsimile machine by a communication protocol of a point-to-point data transfer form upon reception of an access request for the image data from the reception terminal.
Abstract:
If received electronic mail data cannot be printed, an electronic mail control unit (33) transfers the received electronic mail data to another information terminal. A facsimile control unit (34) orders a facsimile unit (27) to print out an error message including sender information and the attached-file format. A display control unit (35) starts a display unit (29).

Abstract:
An electronic mail converter for facsimile is provided with a facsimile, a public network, and a connecting section to be connected to a LAN. The converter switches the connecting section in accordance with the kind of data or an instruction, converts facsimile data into electronic mail data, or electronic mail data into facsimile data as necessary, and transmits the converted data to a specified address.
Abstract:
A relaying method comprising the steps of: storing two kinds of mail addresses, one for reception and one for relaying; enabling the relaying function only when the mail address of the received e-mail data is the one for relaying; deleting a password name from the mail addresses of the received e-mails that were permitted to be relayed; using as part of the header information the mail address from which the password name was deleted; and sending the header information along with the data to a destination terminal.
