Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the amount to be humidified, in a humidifier which is used in order to prevent indoor air from drying. CONSTITUTION:A humidifier is composed of a humidifying element 1, a water supply device 2 for supplying water to the humidifying element 1, an electrode 6, a counter electrode 7a which is so located that the humidifying element 1 is between these electrodes and which is not in direct contact with the electrode 6, and a high voltage-generating apparatus 8a wherein an electric field is formed in the space between the electrode 6 and the counter electrode 7a by applying high voltage to the electrode 6 and the evaporation of the water is accelerated by provided the electric field to the humidifying element 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To control a blast level so as to vary a diffusing air volume so that a room temperature variation becomes 1/f fluctuation, to stop blasting for a prescribed time period to increase a temperature variation width, and not to freeze a heat exchanging means at a time of stopping blasting. CONSTITUTION:An indoor unit body 1 houses a memory 12 where a variation pattern of delivered air volume is programmed preparatorily, so that an indoor temperature variation becomes 1/f fluctuation. In addition, a mode to stop blasting for a prescribed time period is included in the pattern. Further, a heat exchanging means 5 is provided with a freezing detecting means 6 which is mounted heat-contactingly on the heat exchanging means 5 and a freezing preventing control means 14 to make a control to increase an air diffusing amount based on an output of the freezing detecting means 6.
