    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption in the open state of a refrigerator door wherein particularly a cooling load is applied to suppress the indoor temperature and to further improve the durable reliability of a refrigerating cycle to mount a variable speed control type compressor in a refrigerator. CONSTITUTION: The controller for a refrigerator comprises compressor number- of-revolutions control means 1, indoor temperature detecting means 12, indoor set temperature detecting means 13, and door switching detecting means 14. If it is judged that the door is opened, the variable speed control of the normal number of revolutions of the compressor based on the detection signals of the means 12 and 13 is temporarily interrupted, a compressor is decelerated to the predetermined lowest number of revolutions or so controlled at the number of revolutions of the compressor as to be decelerated to the lowest number of revolutions and then to be stopped. If the number of openings of the door is more frequent than the set value, the compressor is controlled to the normal variable speed based on the detection signals of the means 12 and 13 if the opening time of the door is longer than the set value or the rise of the indoor temperature is higher than the set value.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit defrosting with the optimum interval by operating the defrosting interval of a refrigerator based on a control rule obtained by an empirical rule. CONSTITUTION:Atmospheric temperature T is divided into three stages (HT = high temperature, MT = medium temperature, LT = low temperature) depending on the degree of temperature while the opening time K of doors 5, 6 is divided into three stages (LK = long, MK = medium, SK = short) depending on the length thereof and a proper defrosting interval is set at a position whereat the atmospheric temperatures are intersected with the opening times K of the doors 5, 6 respectively. Defrosting interval D is divided into five stages (VS=very short, S = short, M = middle, L = long, VL = very long) in accordance with the length of the defrosting interval. On the other hand, a control rule is stored in a memory device 26. A fuzzy reasoning means 25 takes out a rule, stored in the memory device 26 previously, and reasons the optimum defrosting interval D by fuzzy reasonings to output it to a compressor control means 28 and a heater control means 29.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent different refrigerant from being mixed into recovered refrigerant only by exchanging recovery tanks, wherein the recovered gaseous refrigerant is prevented from leaking into the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A compressor 1 is operated to draw refrigerant from a connecting part 8a through a suction pipe 9a thereby delivering it into a delivery pipe 5a. The delivered refrigerant is passed through the pipe 5a to be cooled and liquefied at a condenser 2 and passed through a pipe 5b into a liquid recovery vessel 4a, where it is recovered. Thereafter, the compressor 1 is stopped and an on/off valve 16 provided in the pipe 9a is closed and a channel switching valve 17 provided in the pipe 5b is changed over so as to communicate with a branch pipe 18 connected to a gas recovery vessel 19 so that high pressure gaseous refrigerant remaining in the pipe 5a, condenser 2, and pipe 5b is led into the vessel 19 so as to be adsorbed on adsorbents 20 loaded in the vessel 19, thereby recovering it.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To recover the total amount of refrigerant in a refrigeration cycle by a simple operation. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a high pressure shell type compressor 10a having a shell capacity larger than the amount of loaded refrigerant, on/off valve 20 provided in a suction pipe 18, and on/off valve 21 provided in a delivery pipe 19, and the compressor 10a is operated with the valve 21 of the pipe 19 being opened to cause the refrigerant in a refrigeration cycle to be recovered in the compressor 10a, and thereafter the valve 20 if the pipe 18 is closed. And by removing the compressor 10a under conditions that both the valves 20, 21 are attached to the compressor 10a, the total amount of refrigerant can be recovered in the compressor 10a.
