Abstract: A hermetic compressor of the present invention is provided with one or more small holes 17 formed in the shell of the suction muffler 16 formed with a low thermal conductivity material such as synthetic resin. The small holes 17 are positioned at nodes 18 in a vibration mode for the resonance frequency of the space formed in the hermetic shell, so that amplification of the resonance sound of the space in the hermetic shell 1 is suppressed. Furthermore, a shortage of the refrigerant is supplemented by the refrigerant gas sucked from the hermetic shell 1 through the small holes 17 when it occurs due to a suction loss caused by the resistance of the flow path for guiding a high density refrigerant gas from the suction tube into the cylinder 8 according to the circulation of the refrigerant.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the volumetric efficiency so as to improve the refrigerating capacity by decreasing the loss in suction caused by a flow resistance in a suction passage for leading sucked gas having a high density in a coolant circulating volume from a suction pipe into a cylinder. SOLUTION: In a hermetic compressor, a suction muffler 16 is made of a material such as a synthetic resin having a low thermal conductivity, and in its outer shell more than one of small holes 17 communicated with the inside 1 of a hermetic container 1 are formed. These small holes 17 being located at positions of nodes of a vibration mode at a resonant frequency in the inside space of the hermetic container 1, and accordingly, the amplification of resonating sound in the inside space of the container 1 is restrained while the gas having a high suction density due to the coolant circulating quantity is replenished with coolant gas which is sucked into a space in a cylinder from a suction pipe 12 through the small holes 17, for a deficiency of the coolant caused by a suction loss due to a gas flow resistance in a suction passage through which the gas is led from the suction passage 12 into the cylinder. Thus, the suction loss can be decreased, and accordingly, a hermetic compressor which can decrease its suction loss and can enhance the refrigerating function is provided.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic motor-driven compressor which can prevent occurrence of abnormal noise caused by intermittent contact of a connecting rod with a washer due to inclination of a bearing and a shaft. SOLUTION: In this hermetic motor-driven compressor, when a connecting rod and a U-like washer 17 are inserted in a hollow part 16 of a piston 6, the washer 17 abuts with the hollow part 16 at four points 16a, 16b, 16c, 16d while a clearance is held between the connecting rod and the U-like washer 17, and the washer 17 is formed in such a shape that it is curved toward the connecting rod in the vicinity of the piston pin 19. Accordingly, an effect for damping the vertical motion of the connecting rod can be exhibited so as to prevent occurrence of resonation of the U-like washer 17, and therefore, exciting force transmitted from the piston and the cylinder is decreased so as to prevent occurrence of abnormal sound.

CONSTITUTION: A motor-driven element 11 laid at an upper position in a shell 10 and a compression element laid at a lower position are jointed to each other via a crankshaft 13 in a compressor. an oil pump 14 is mounted on the lower end of the crankshaft 13. In addition, an oil capillary 15 for feeding a small amount of oil to the element 12 and the oil pump 14 have forward ends submerged in refrigerator oil 16 accumulated in the shell 10. furthermore, the cylinder 18 of the element 12 is positioned above the level of the oil 16 accumulated on a bottom section in the shell 10. According to this construction, a vibration transmitted from the cylinder 18 to the shell 10 via the oil 16 can be interrupted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a fine hole to be clogged by dust when refrigerator oil passes through it and reduce a time for machining, by defining counter sunk recesses at opposite sides of the fine hole of a valve plate. CONSTITUTION:When a compressor starts operation, oil from an oil pump stays in an oil sump 7 and a small amount of the oil flows into a pressurized suction chamber 12a through a fine hole 12. Since the fine hole 12 is liable to be clogged with iron powder, dust or the like, the dust is caused to stay on the end plate of a cylinder 6 and in a counter sunk recess 10a defined in a valve plate 10. Since the distance between the fine holes 12 is made shorter by a counter sunk recess 10b defined together with the recess 10a, which permits a machining time by laser beam to be shortened. In addition, a dispersion of the distance between the fine holes 12 is prevented by both side grinding for stabilizing an amount of oil flow.

When lockedly engaging the cover body 2' with the body 1' by means of the spring 5', a partition board 3' having a through hole is also lockedly engaged together, with the spring 5' immovably. Thereby, parts for preventing the rattling of a gasket, etc. become unnecessary due to the spring force of the spring 5', reducing a cost while improving workability.
