    Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten a defrosting time by a method wherein an auxiliary refrigerant cycle is provided to cause one of the pipes to be connected with an interior side heat exchanger connecting pipe for connecting a pressure reducing device with an interior side heat exchanger and the other of the pipes to be connected with an outdoor heat exchanger connecting pipe for connecting an outdoor heat exchanger with the pressure reducing device. CONSTITUTION:One of the pipes is connected to an interior side heat exchanger connecting pipe 27 communicating with a pressure reducing device 25 and an interior side heat exchanger 26. A heating auxiliary pressure reducing device 28, a defrosting check valve 29 forming a passage for bypassing a defrosting heating auxiliary pressure reducing device 28, an auxiliary heat exchanger 30, a defrosting auxiliary pressure reducing device 31, a heating check valve 32 forming a passage bypassing a heating defrosting auxiliary pressure reducing device 31 and an auxiliary unit (c) connecting with the solenoid valve 33 are provided. An auxiliary refrigerant cycle is formed by being connected with an outdoor heat exchanger connecting pipe 34 for use in connecting an outdoor unit (a) with a pressure reducing device 25 of an interior unit (b). With this arrangement, when defrosted, a heat absorbing action is formed by the auxiliary heat exchanger 30, so that even if the fan of the indoor heat exchanger 26 is stopped, the defrosting time can be shortened. In addition, since a dehumidified water when defrosted can be utilized, a dehumidifying amount is increased.

CONSTITUTION:The air conditioner comprises a heat exchanger 2, a cross flow fan 3, a stabilizer 5 for forming a casing of the fan 3, a rear guider 4, and protrusion-shaped guiders 11a, 11b disposed above tong parts of both parts of the rear guider 4. With the structure, a vortex is generated by the fan 3 and the guiders 11a, 11b, a suction quantity at an outlet side of the exchanger 2 is increased by an induction force of the vortex, and a discharge flow rate of a diffuser 6 can be made uniform.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve heating of feet by a method wherein when a discharge temperature during heating operation is low, a discharge air velocity is decreased and an arrival distance is discreased, and when a discharge temperature is high, a discharge air velocity is increased and an arrival distance is increased. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of discharge air through an air discharge port 5 is low, a coupling member 10 formed of a shape memory material is elongated, resulting in the increase of the air passage sectional area of an air discharge port 5 by an air lock plate 9 coupled to the memory member 10. When the air passage sectional area of the air discharge port 5 is increased, the discharge air velocity of the air discharge port 5 is reduced, and an arrival distance of air discharged through the air discharge port 5 is decreased. Thereby, low temperature discharge air does not arrive to feet, no cold feeling of feet is produced. Meanwhile, when the temperature of air discharged through the air discharge port 5 is increased, the coupling member 10 formed of a shape memory material shrinks, resulting in reduction of the air passage sectional area of the discharge port 6 by means of the air lock plate 9 coupled to the coupling material 10. When the air passage section area of the air discharge port 5 is decreased, the discharge air velocity of the air discharge 5 is increased and an arrival distance of air discharged through the air discharge port 5 is increased. Thereby, high temperature discharge air arrives at feet and heating of feet is improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make uniform rightward and leftward air speeds at an air blowing port and prevent air blown from the blowing port from being sucked again into the suction port even in case of a weak air by a method wherein a pair of air-driven plates are arranged between a partition plate and an air direction varying plate and a connecting rod is provided through a spring for connecting both air-driven plates. CONSTITUTION:Interior air is sucked into a main body 11 of an air conditioner through a suction port 12 and then the air is sent to a heat exchanger 14 by an air blower 13. The heat exchanged air is blown upward and slanted by the air direction varying plate 16 during cooling operation and the hot air is fed downward during heating operation. The air-driven plate 18 may receive an air pressure within a blowing port 15 and push a connecting rod 19 through a spring connecting between the right and left air-driven plates 18. The connecting rod 19 is retracted and then the right and left blowing ports 15 are widened. In case that a capability at a low loading operation is adjusted, the number of revolution of the air blower 13 is decreased to reduce an amount of blown air and ten an air pressure within the blowing port 15 is reduced. A force for pushing the connecting rod 19 is reduced, the connecting rod 19 is extended by the spring, the right and left blowing ports 15 are made narrow and an air speed at the blowing ports 15 becomes equal to that of performing a capability adjustment.

CONSTITUTION:A filter 2, having a large projecting piece, projecting out of a gap between a stabilizer 6 and a front panel 1, is provided. According to this constitution, a gap between the stabilizer 6 and the filter 2 may be prevented, vortexes are not generated substantially at the upper surface of the below-off port of the front panel 1 upon cooling, high-temperature and high-humidity air in a room is not rolled up into blow-off air and dewing on the front panel 1 may be prevented. Further, blow-off air upon heating is converged into a main stream A by the projecting piece 9, provided in the filter 2, therefore, the deterioration of the amount of down-blow air may be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the blowing efficiency and reduce noise by making the width of a pair of blades which form a both-surface suction type multiblade fan in disproportion to each air resistance, thus adjusting the wind speed passing through the blades to a uniform value. CONSTITUTION:A blower is constituted of a plurality both-surface suction type multiblade fans 8a-8d revolved by a motor 3 and a plurality of casings 2a-2d which introduces air, surrounding the fans. In this case, each blade width (a), (b) of a pair of blades which form a multiblade fan is set to the dimension in disproportion to each air suction resistance. Since the air suction resistance on the side between the casings 2a-2b is large because of the interference between the both fans, the part (b) having the shorter blade width of each fan 8a-8d is directed each other, while since on the piping 4a, 4b, motor 3 and drain pipe 6 sides, the air resistance is small because of a wide space, the part (a) having the longer blade width is directed each other.
