A hermetic electric compressor including sealed container and coil spring provided for elastically supporting electric compression element housed in sealed container. A consideration has been made to avoid the coincidence in the resonance frequency between coil spring mounted with electric compression element and mechanical vibration caused by electric compression element, or a cavity formed in space. By so doing, creation of a resonation with coil spring is suppressed, and noises and vibrations with the hermetic electric compressors are reduced.

A sealed type motorized compressor comprises a sealed container (1), and a coil spring (101) elastically supporting a motorized compression element (2) received in the sealed container (1), the arrangement being such that the resonance frequency that the coil spring (101) has when the motorized compression element (2) is mounted on the coil spring (101) does not coincide with that of mechanical vibrations produced by the motorized compression element (2) or with air column resonance frequency of a space (4), thereby making it possible to reduce the possibility of resonance of the coil spring (101), and to reduce noise and vibrations of the sealed type motorized compressor.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a compressor that a wide space is required for setting the compressor to be installed in a refrigerator, etc., because an intake pipe, an outlet pipe and a process pipe are extending around the compressor from a closed case and the tips of the pipes are widely apart from each other to the right and left. SOLUTION: The intake pipe, outlet pipe and process pipe extending from the closed case of the compressor are disposed collectively on the same side as of a terminal, and the projection of each pipe in the normal direction from the closed case is minimized. The compressor is mounted on a freezer with the terminal side facing the opening side. Accordingly, the operability in connecting pipes and in connecting electric wires can be improved. Further, the setting space of the compressor in a refrigerator, etc., can be reduced.
