Abstract: The invention relates to refrigeration of machine oil to be used in a sealed motor-compressor unit of a refrigeration apparatus, such as an electric refrigerator, an electric cold-storage box, a small-scale electric refrigerated show-case, a small-scale electric cold-storage show-case and the like. The oil has a specifically enhanced property, by which a small initial power consumption is required by the sealed motor-compressor and an easy supply of a predetermined amount of the refrigerating machine oil to the refrigerating system is ensured even when the ambient temperature is low. The oil consists of low volatile distillates of naphthenic type oil, in which the kinetic viscosity is within 7.0 to 13.0 cst. at a temperature of 100.degree.F and within 2.0 to 2.5 cst. at a temperature of 210.degree.F, with a seizure load of more than 450 lbs. according to the falex test.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an Oldham's ring excellent in wear resistance and in self lubrication quality, by applying electroless plating of cobalt-phosphorus system to a sliding surface of the Oldham's ring. CONSTITUTION:A turning scroll 5 is constituted of an end plate 5a and a lap 5b which is vertically provided in the end plate 5a having a curve equal to a lap 4b of a fixed scroll 4, and the end plate 5a is restricted by an Oldham's ring 6 serving as a preventing mechanism for rotation on its own axis. Here the Oldham's ring 6 applies plating 6c of cobalt-phosphorus system to its sliding surface. In this way, improving wear resistance of the Oldham's ring against the aluminum alloy made turning scroll 5 which is an opposed member, a sliding part enables its reliability to be improved even under a condition of high speed and high load.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent rise in temp. by providing a passage which directly introduces a compressed gas discharged out of a discharge port into a space formed by an enclosed casing and a motor part and finally discharging said gas through a discharge pipe opened on the enclosed casing. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerant which is sucked in from a suction pipe 18 via a suction port 9 is compressed and flows into a space 23 through a flow passage 26 via a discharge port 8. The compressed gas which flowed into the space 23 flows over the whole periphery of the space 23 while flowing into a second chamber 16 through a motor part space and, at this time, it cools all over the motor part. The compressed gas which flowed into the second chamber 16 is subjected to oil separation and flows into a first chamber 15 and, then, is discharged into a cooling system via a discharge pipe 19. Thereby, since the cooling of the motor part is securely carried out, the effect is particularly large in a condition that the circulating quantity of the refrigerant is small as in the case of a low speed operation by an inverter. As a result, the seizing of the motor part and the rise in temp. of a compressor can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce vibration and noise and improve the wear-resistivity by forming a retainer out of foamed plastics reinforced with carbon fiber and holding a plurality of balls which are put between both the back face of the mirror board of a turning scroll at the reverse side of the lap thereof and a block. CONSTITUTION:A scroll type compressor having a turning scroll 4 and a fixed scroll 5 which have involuted laps 4b and 5b standing upright on mirror board 4a and 5b, respectively, also has a self-turn preventing mechanism 6 which prevents the turning scroll 5 from turning of itself and has it make orbital action. A plurality of balls 15m are put between the mirror board 5a of the turning scroll 5 and a block 3 to which the fixed scroll 4 is fixed, and the held in respective retainer holes 16m of a retainer 16 so as not to contact with each other. In this case, the retainer 16 is made out of foamed plastics reinforced by adding carbon fiber, which is 15mum or less in diameter and 1mm or less in length.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion by providing a passage communicating a hole storing balls of a retainer and the inner periphery or the outer periphery of the retainer on a member arranged near the retainer or the hole. CONSTITUTION:A retainer 20 is provided between a block 3 and the back face of the end plate 5a of a rotary scroll 5, and notches 21a-21y formed from the inner periphery to the outer periphery are provided on the upper end lower end faces. Balls 15a-15x perform circular motion in holes 20a-20x in response to the rotating motion. Lubricating oil 19 flows into a back pressure chamber 14 and passes the notches and lubricates the balls 15a-15x. Accordingly, lubricating oil is fed to sliding sections of the balls, and abrasion is dissolved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance by making a seal member, which is arranged at the lap end face of a scroll, of compound material which is formed by casting nickel foaming substance in aluminium alloy. CONSTITUTION:A groove 16 is formed along a lap at a lap end part between a rotating scroll 5 and a fixed scroll 4. A seal member 17 is arranged in this groove 16. The seal member 17 is made of aluminium compound material which is formed by molding, through fusion casting method, aluminum alloy and nickel foaming substance. For this reason, abrasion resistance, heat resistance and dimension stability are improved and leakage loss can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare the titled lubricating oil showing little change in viscosity with change of temperature and having excellent heat resistance and lubricating properties, by adding a specified viscosity index improver, a heat resistance improver and an extreme pressure agent to a mineral oil and/or alkylbenzene. CONSTITUTION:Less than 2.0wt% polyacrylate having a weight-average M.W. of not higher than 100,000 as viscosity index improver, less than 2.0wt% epoxy group-contg. compd. (e.g. phenyl glycidyl ether) as heat resistance improver and less than 2.0wt% phosphorus compd. (e.g. tricresyl phosphate) as extreme pressure agent are mixed into a mineral oil and/or alkylbenzene to produce a lubricating oil for a refrigerator having a kinematic viscosity of 2.0-6.0cSt. at 100 deg.C. The lubricating oil shows a minimized decrease of viscosity at a high temp., improved sealing and lubricating properties in mechanical parts of a compressor and a minimized increase of viscosity at a low temp. thus reducing resistance in mechanical parts of the compressor due to oil viscosity and improving the efficiency of the compressor.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to increase the nuclear boiling effect of the titled heat pipe without applying any specific processing on the pipe by a method wherein a working liquid and magnetic metallic particles are sealed within the sealed heat pipe made of a non-magnetic material and the fins attached to the working liquid storage section of the heat receiving section of the heat pipe is made of a magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:The finned heat pipe 1 is formed of the non-magnetic metallic pipe 6 and a number of L-shaped plate fins 7 attached normally to the heat receiving section 4 and a coolant 8 of about 10 to 20% of the entire volume of the pipe 6 and a small amount of magnetic needle-like metallic particles are sealed with the pipe 6. Further, the lowermost plate fin 7' is made of a magnetic iron plate while the remaining fins 7 are made of a non-magnetic aluminum material. Consequently, the metallic particles 9 gather in the shape of a circle on the inner wall of the pipe 6 at position corresponding to a collar 7a' of the lowermost fin 7' and the nuclei of boiling generate in the coolant 8 at the metallic particle gathering position to thereby accelerate the rising of boiling and to improve the lower temperature characteristic of the pipe. Thus it is possible to increase the thermal efficiency of a solar heat collector or the like using the pipe.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To moderate impact force generated when a retainer collides against a block guide part, by forming a recessed part in both a contact surface of the retainer with the block guide part and an end surface. CONSTITUTION:A retainer 20, which has holes 20a-20x housing balls 15a-15x, provides a recessed part 21a in a contact surface 21 with a guide part 3a of a block 3. Here the retainer 20 performs irregular turning motion as a turning scroll 5 performs its turning motion. As a result, the retainer 20, if it collides against the guide part 3a, absorbs a shock by slightly deforming the contact part 21 because its rigidity weakens by the recessed part 21a. As the result, a compressor low decreases its noise and vibration further enables deterioration of life due to impact of the guide part 3a or the like to be prevented.
