    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an assembling characteristic of a damper thermostat use for adjusting a specified temperature of a freezer-refrigerator. SOLUTION: At a mechanical section 112 of a damper thermostat, a lever 104 is provided with an indent part 111 capable of holding a can arm 110 at a position where a projecting part 110a of the cam arm 110 is not contacted with a hole 114 of a holder damper 113 under a state in which the cam arm 110 and a lever 104 are abutted and slid to each other in response to an output of a bellows 101, thereby they can be assembled positively without using any jig at all.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a feed water pump, used for a refrigerator with an automatic ice making machine, at a low cost with high reliability, minimizing the decrease of feed water quantity caused by a bearing hole and preventing the splash of water flowing out of a drip hole. CONSTITUTION:A pump 31 is formed of a case 37 having a vortex chamber and holding a motor 32 on the axis of the vortex chamber, and an impeller 33 rotatably provided in the vortex chamber. The top face side of the vortex chamber 34 is provided with a small hole 51 communicated with the outside, and a U-shape extended part 52 is provided on the approximately vertical line of the small hole 51. The cylindrical opening of the case 37 is airtightely held by the motor 32 so that air does not leak outside from the vortex chamber 34.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of the title device and permit the control of many chambers by a method wherein a plurality of outlet ports, communicated with the inlet ports of cold air of a housing, is opened and closed by the combination of a cylindrical flap and a rotor rotated by single driving cource. CONSTITUTION:When a signal is inputted from a control circuit, a motor 18 is turned and the rotation is transmitted to a rotor 23 through a reduction gear box 19 whereby the rotor 23 is rotated in the annular recess 12 of a housing 10. In this case, the tip end of the blades 23a of the rotor 23 is contacted with the inside of an annular flap 20 and the flap 20 is moved to a position, determined by the length of the blade 23a of the rotor 23. When only the temperature of the second chamber is increased and the same of a first chamber is low, the motor 18 is electrified for a given period of time so that the rotor 23 is rotated by 90 deg. by an external control circuit whereby an outlet port 17a is closed by the flap 20. According to this operation, cold air flows into a second chamber from an inlet port 16 through another outlet port 17b.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable reliable opening and closing of an opening part without detecting opening and closing of a flap by means of an electric means by a method wherein the opening of a housing mounted between cold air inlet and outlet parts is opened and closed by means of the blades of a rotary rotor, and transmission between a rotor drive output shaft and the rotor is effected by means of a frictional force therebetween. CONSTITUTION:A drive signal is inputted to a motor 30, and rotation of the motor 30 is transmitted through a reduction gear 32 to a final output shaft 34. In this case, since the rotation is transmitted between a protrusion part 34b made of rubber of the final output shaft 34 and a recessed part 36e of a rotor 36 by means of a frictional force therebetween, the rotor 36 is rotated in a direction in such a way that opening parts 25a and 25b are closed. In this case, when blade parts 36b and 36c of the rotor 36 make contact with the opening parts 25a and 25b, the rotor 36 is not rotated by the motor 30 and the final output shaft 34 are rotated in a slipping state in the recessed part 36e of the rotor 36. An opening part 25 is opened and closed by means of the blade parts of the rotor 36 without using an electric switch and the output time of a drive signal is set to a value slightly longer than a time required for opening and closing of the opening part 25, whereby the rotor 36 is reliably held in an opening and closing positions, and since an output shaft is raced, the motor is prevented from a damage.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To thin the title device and permit the control of many chambers by a method wherein a plurality of outlet ports, communicated with the inlet port of a housing, is opened and closed by the combination of an opening and closing plate, energized toward the direction of opening, and a rotor, rotated by single driving source. CONSTITUTION:When a signal is inputted from a control circuit, a motor 35 is rotated and the rotation is transmitted to a rotor 38 from the final output stage 37a of a reduction gear group 37 whereby the rotor 38 is turned in the recess 22 of a housing 20. The original point of the rotating position of the rotor 38 is detected by a method wherein a lead switch 42, embedded into the housing 20, is put ON and a power is inputted into an external control circuit when the blade unit 39 of the rotor 38 is abutted against an opening and closing plate 27b attached to the inlet port 24 of the housing 20 and the opening and closing plate 27b is closed. When only the temperature of a second chamber is reduced and the temperature of a first chamber is high, for example, the motor 35 is electrified for a given period of time so that the rotor 38 is rutned by 90 deg. whereby an outlet port 25b is closed. According 10 this method, the thickness of the whole of the title device may be thinned.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of the title device and permit the coping with the control of a chamber by a method wherein an inlet part of a housing and a plurality of outlet ports, which are communicated with the inlet part of a housing, are opened and closed by a rotor driven by single driving source. CONSTITUTION:When a signal enters from a control circuit, a motor 16 is driven and the rotation of the motor 16 is transmitted from the final output stage 18a to a rotor 19 through a reduction gears group 18 whereby the rotor 19 is turned in the annular recess 12 of a housing 10. In this case, the original point of the rotating position of the rotor 10 is detected by a method wherein a lead switch 12, embedded into the housing 10, is put ON when the damper unit 19b of the rotor 10 has closed the inlet unit 14 of the housing 10 whereby an external control circuit is inputted. An outlet port 15a is communicated with a first chamber and another outlet port 15b is communicated with a second chamber. When only the temperature of the second chamber is increased and the temperature of the first chamber is low, for example, the motor 16 is electrified for a given period of time so that the rotor 19 is turned by 90 deg. from this condition by the external control circuit whereby the outlet port 15a is closed. According to this method, cold air may be ventilated into the second chamber through a discharging port whereby cooling may be effected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a high reliability damper opening/closing device by mounting a shape storage alloy coiled spring on an opening/closing plate and a substrate through a holder including a hold part for holding a connection part between a heater of the coiled spring and a lead wire. CONSTITUTION:A linear heater 15 having an insulating coating is wrapped around a shape storage alloy coiled spring 14. A coil storage end is inserted through four or more holes 16a formed in a flaty holder 16 and is rotatably engaged with the opening/closing plate 12 and a substrate 10 via a hook part 16b. When temperature in the cooling chamber is higher than a set value, the heater 15 is supplied with power, whereby the shape storage alloy coiled spring 14 is contracted to rotate the opening/closing plate 12 in an opening direction for permitting cool air to flow into the refrigerator from the open part 11. Reversely, once it is lower than the set value, the power supply to the heater 15 is stopped, whereby the temperature of the shape storage alloy coiled spring 14 is lowered to reduce an output therefrom, so that the opening/closing plate 12 is rotated in an closing direction by the spring 13 to close the opening part 11 of the substrate 10 for interrupting the flow of the cold air onto the refrigera tor. Thus, reliability is improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce an energy loss and accurately maintain a temperature in a casing by embedding heating wires in the circumference of housing openings, which are provided between a cold air inlet part and its outlet part and which are opened and closed by the vanes of a rotor, and disposing a detecting switch for supplying power to heaters when the rotor closes the openings. CONSTITUTION:A drive signal is sent to a motor 34 to allow a rotor 38 to rotate via a reduction gear 35, and the vaned 38b, 38c of the rotor 38 rotate in the direction in which two openings 25a, 25b provided in the annular recess 20a of a housing 20 are closed. In this case, pressure-sensitive, electrically-conductive rubber members 29 provided at the openings 25a, 25b are brought into contact with metal pieces 40 provided at the vanes 38b, 38c of the rotor 38, and when the rubber members are pressed under substantial pressure, the pressure-sensitive, electrically-conductive rubber members 29 conduct to cause the electric current of a signal to flow between two electrodes 28, thereby supplying power to heaters 27 and heating the outer frames 26 of the openings 25a, 25b. By this method wherein power is supplied to heating wires only when the rotor, which is most susceptible to freezing, continues the state of closing the openings, an energy loss can be made less than that in the case of the constant supply of power to the heaters.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable provision of a damper opening and closing device which eliminates a heater serving as a heat source, increases the response speed of an on-off plate, and is decreased in thickness on the whole by a method wherein each of the both ends of a shape memory alloy wire formed on two oblique lines in the shape of a triangle is secured to the one end of the one oblique line, and the whole wire is returned at the one of the other oblique line, and the alloy wire is doubly formed on the two oblique lines in the shape of a triangle. CONSTITUTION:In a device, a fine shape memory alloy wire 109 shrunk when it is heated to a temperature higher than a given value is formed on two oblique lines in the shape of a triangle. The wire is secured at the end of the one oblique line by means of fixing terminals 110a and 110b, and is formed in an U-shape at the one end of the other oblique line, and hooked to a protrusion part 102a protruded from a base plate 102. The alloy wire 109 is brought into contact with a spindle 112, vertically driven through expansion and contraction of the alloy wire 10, at the apexes of the two oblique lines, and the other end of the spindle 112 is brought into contact with an on-off plate 105. When a command to close a damper is issued, the alloy line 109 is contracted, the on-off plate 105 is rotated against the energizing force of a leaf spring 107 through the spindle 112 to form an opening part 103.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce variations in a spring constant and improve an accuracy in a characteristic of temperature by a method wherein an amount of flexing of a tension coil spring arranged between one end of a lever and an arm is adjusted by an adjusting screw abutted against one end of the arm to vary the spring constant. CONSTITUTION:An extremity end of a bellows 12 of a damper thermometer is abutted against a lever 14. The lever 14 is rotated by an expansion or retraction of the bellows 12. A tension coil spring 17 is installed between a hook part 14a of the lever 14 and a hook part 16a of an arm 16. A tapping adjuster screw 19 screwed into a holder 18 is installed such that its extremity end may pull the tension coil spring 17 and is abutted against an extremity end 16b of the arm 16. With this arrangement, since a spring constant can be determined by an amount of threaded action of the adjusting screw, variations in a spring constant is quite low and an accuracy of a characteristic of temperature can be increased.
