Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate disposal work and disintegration work by a method wherein the principal material of an outer box and an inner boxs is composed of the same material as that of expanded insulating material loaded into the gap between both the boxes, thereby eliminating the need to separate the inner and outer boxes and the insulating material at the time of disposal and disintegration work. CONSTITUTION:An insulated box of the refrigerator is composed of an outer box 2 and an inner box 3 made of thermosetting polyurethane resin or thermoplastic styrene resin and expanded insulating material 4 such as thermosetting urethane foam is loaded into the gap between the boxes 2, 3. In this manner, the boxes 2, 3 have the same principal component as that of the material 4, whereby it is not necessary to separate the boxes 2, 3 and the material 4 at the time of disposal and disintegration thereof, so that disposal work can be performed easily. And thermoplastic resin is used as a principal component, as material, and hence equipment cost of a mold is made lower than that of a rim mold and moldability is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To maintain good thermal conductivity of expanded insulating material for a long period of time by bonding a film to the surface of expanded insulating material to be put into the gap between an outer box and an inner box to prevent fluorocarbon component etc., in the material from being replaced by air. CONSTITUTION:A thermally insulated box such as a refrigerator comprises an outer box 1 of matal, an inner box 2 of plastics, and expanded insulating material 3 such as slab-shaped urethane foam incorporated into the gap between the boxes 1, 2. In a thermally insulated box of this sort, a film having low permeability to gas such as air, and moisture is bonded to the surface of the material 3. As a result, fluorocarbon component etc., in the material 3 is prevented from being replaced by the air and hence thermal conductivity of the material 3 is not deteriorated even after extended use.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent a sealing material from flowing out of a heat insulating box by a method wherein the heat insulating box is comprised of an outer box, an inner box, a foam heat insulating material and injection holes formed at a rear plate of the outer box to fill the foam heat insulating material, the outer box connects a flange with the back plate, a drip pan section is formed around the injection hole and the connected portion is provided with a thermosetting seal material. CONSTITUTION: There are provided an outer box 2, an inner box 3, a foam heat insulating material 4 filled between both boxes and injection holes 8 formed at a rear plate of the outer box to fill the foam heat insulating material 4. The outer box 2 connects a flange 7 formed at a rear side of a side surface with a rear plate 9 formed with a feeding hole 8, a drip pan section 11 is formed around the feeding hole 8 and the connection portion is provided with a thermosetting seal material 10 to constitute a heat insulating box. After the seal material 10 is coated, the seal material is stopped at the drip pan section 11 even if the seal material flows, resulting in that the seal material 10 does not leak out of the box; and its outer appearance does not deteriorate.
