    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent such a fact that an engine cancels an asynchronous injection at time of gear shifting from exerting an adverse effect on travelability at time of running requisition, in the engine performing the asynchronous injection at the specified driving. CONSTITUTION:An injector 4 is installed in an intake passage 3. At time of normal driving, fuel is sprayed by an injection pulse synchronized with a crank angle. When an intake air quantity variation (dVS) becomes more than a first threshold value (KGTAVM), an asynchronous injection unrelated to the crank angle is carried out in addition to the synchronous injection. In addition, when shift operation takes place, a cancel time (Cgrind) is set as shown in (a) at time when a shift signal is changed to OFF from ON, and during this cancel time, the asynchronous injection is not carried out woven if the intake air quantity variation (dVS) becomes more than the first threshold value (KGTAVM). Even if it is in the cancel time, however, the dVS has come to more than a second threshold value (KGTAVMH) larger than the KGTAVM, the cancel time (Cgrind) is reset, performing the asynchronous injection.

CONSTITUTION:When the output of an idle detecting means 101 is supplied, and an idle state is detected, auxiliary fluid is supplied from an auxiliary fluid feeding means 102 into the intake system of an engine. Then, a feedback control means 104 sets the correction quantity within a previously set correction range, and feedback control is carried out so that the idle revolution speed converges to an aimed revolution speed Which is set by a setting means 103 on the basis of the set quantity. The trouble of the auxiliary fluid control device is judged according to the correction quantity of the feedback control means 104 by an auxiliary fluid control device trouble means 105. Further, during the judgement of the trouble of the auxiliary fluid controller, the above-described correction range is spread by a correcting means 106.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform adjustment of a flow quantity equally with respect to both intake systems by arranging a bypass passage for bypassing a throttle valve at the downstream of an air flow meter of two systems, and communicating both the intake systems to each other and a flow adjustment means. CONSTITUTION:In a control unit 20a, a control valve 15a or 15b is closely controlled in a low flow range. Intake air introduced to the other side under a condition where introduction of the intake air to one of intake system is inhibited is allowed to flow through a bypass passage 12 which bypasses throttle valves 8a, 8b, and distributed to a cylinder group (banks) 1a, 1b of the two system while the flow quantity is controlled by an ISC valve 13. Every one-half of intake air quantity measured by an air flow meter 7a or 7b is supplied to the cylinder group of the two systems. Control performance of engine output adjustment element based on output of the air flow meter is improved in this way.

CONSTITUTION:In the case of diagnosing a trouble of EGR in a control unit 13, first whether the present EGR is actuated or not is decided, and in the case of YES, action map of EGR, stored in the control unit 13, is switched to a map for EGR trouble diagnostic time to actuate a negative pressure solenoid valve 20 and an atmospheric solenoid valve 21 so as to obtain a fixed amount of EGR supply, and to control a negative pressure in a diaphragm chamber 17a so as to obtain a fixed value. Next, by a pressure sensor 23, after an intake negative pressure PON at this time is measured, the EGR is off-operated to measure an intake negative pressure POFF at this time and to obtain a difference PON-POFF between these measured values, and in the case of this difference within a predetermined range, the EGR map is returned from the trouble diagnostic time map to the normal operation time map because the EGR is normal.

Respective detected signals from an air-fuel ratio sensor 6 and a water temperature sensor 8 arranged on a cylinder block 7 and the like are input to the control means 2a. In such a case, when the air-fuel ratio sensor 6 becomes inactive, in the control means 2a, an ignition advanced angle is gradually retarded while intake air quantity is increased. Besides, when the air-fuel ratio sensor 6 becomes active, the ignition advanced angle is gradually advanced and the intake air quantity is reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent any supplementary gas from being supplied to only one cylinder so as to dissolve fluctuation of an engine rotational speed by setting the cycle of a duty control valve for controlling the amount of supplementary gas supplied into the intake system of an engine lower than the cycle of an intake stroke. CONSTITUTION:An evaporated fuel (supplementary gas) supplying passage 11 for supplying fuel (supplementary gas) evaporated from a fuel tank 10 into an intake passage 2 is connected to the intake passage 2 of an engine 1. A canister 12 for reserving evaporated fuel and a duty control valve 13 for controlling the supply amount of evaporated fuel are respectively arranged in the evaporated fuel supply passage 11. The duty control valve 13 is controlled by a control unit 16 on the basis of each detecting signal from each of sensors 4, 5, 7, 9 for detecting operating condition of the engine 1. At this time, the duty control valve 13 is opened/closed by a prescribed control frequency, and also the control frequency is changed so as to be extended by a prescribed length longer than the intake stroke time intervals of one same cylinder.

In this case, it is detected that the change of the operation state is small, and the ignition timing of the mixed gas is forcibly corrected to the advance angle side gradually in this detection, and it is judged if the knocking due to this correction is generated or not. When the advance angle quantity of the ignition timing is large in the state where the generation of knocking is judged, it is judged that the octane number is high, while if the advance angle is small, it is judged that the octane number is low.

And when fuel injection is restoted while calibration is being performed, the pulse width of each injector drive pulse is so calibrated (S-16) as to be reduced by a correction pulse width set in advance for an increment in fuel pressure, so that the quantity of fuel injection can be obtained, which is identical to the quantity of fuel injection in a state that no fuel pressure is increased.

The air-fuel ratio of mixed air detected by the O2 sensor 10 is controlled by the control unit 7 so as to decrease the increase of the fuel as the lean rate from the theoretical air-fuel becomes large.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent misarrangement of an air-fuel ratio and overflow of fuel by providing a gasoline property detecting means for detecting variation in evaporating quantity of fuel in a fuel storing part and a control means fro controlling opening of a valve means for varying a flow rate of evaporative fuel. CONSTITUTION:By on-off switching of a three-way solenoid valve 24 arranged in the middle of a piping 23, negative pressure or atmospheric air in an intake pipe 3 is selectively introduced into a pressure chamber of an opening/closing valve 21 to open/close a piping 20. The three-way valve 24 is on-off controlled by an ECU 28 based on a detected result of a gasoline property detecting means 29. In using high octane fuel, the opening/closing valve 21 is closed thereby purging evaporative fuel absorbed in a canistor 4 into an intake pipe 3 through a piping 18. Besides, in using regular fuel, the opening/closing valve 21 is opened thereby purging evaporative fuel absorbed in the canistor 4 in the intake pipe 3 through the pipings 18, 20. Since the purging quantity is adjusted in such a way, it is possible to prevent misarrangement of an air-fuel ratio and overflow of the fuel.
