Abstract: Provided is a handheld scanner. The handheld scanner includes one or more UVC LED elements and a processor configured to execute one or more instructions, wherein the processor is configured to, by executing the one or more instructions, control the one or more UVC LED elements to be turned on in response to detecting a first event, and control the one or more UVC LED elements to be turned off in response to detecting a second event while the one or more UVC LED elements are turned on to operate.
