Abstract: A method for vaporization of liquid having an initial weight of W 0, using Electro Magnetic Radiation (EMR) of energy E 0, the method comprising: d) subjecting the liquid to the Electro Magnetic Radiation (EMR) yielding an initial vaporization ratio (I), wherein due to the EMR, the weight of the liquid W (t) decreases compared to the initial W 0, subsequently changing the vaporization ratio (II); and wherein the method further comprises: e) manipulating the weight of the liquid W (t) by adding liquid so as to equalize the value of W (t) with the initial W 0 so as to maintain the initial vaporization ratio ß 0; or f) manipulating the energy of the EMR over time E (t) so as to maintain the initial vaporization ratio (III).

Abstract: Provided is a novel method and system to separate magnetically non-susceptible impurities from coal intended for combustion, and it includes the removal of such impurities together with magnetically susceptible impurities that are collocated within the same lump of coal, prior to the combustion of the coal, by the use of the magnetic properties of the magnetically susceptible impurities. The described subject matter is based on the fact that the former impurities are normally collocated in the same lumps of coal as the latter, especially as far as pyrite and cinnabar are concerned, provided the lumps have not been liberated, in particular, they meet the requirement that at least 50% by mass of the coal lumps should be at least 2 mm in maximum dimension.

Abstract: A system for energy production by burning solid fossil fuel in a power generation plant includes burners adapted for performing a power generating industrial process where consumption of electric power exhibits periods of different demands. The system comprises an electromagnetic radiation (EMR) drying plant for upgrading the solid fossil fuel. The system also includes a transportation means for moving the upgraded solid fossil fuel to the burners; and/or a storage means suitable for storing a quantity of the solid fossil fuel at least commensurate to daily consumption of the industrial process performed by the system. The EMR drying plant is adapted for performing an EMR drying process for reducing inherent moisture content in the solid fossil fuel by 50% or more.
