    Abstract: A system and method for detecting potential product quality issues that might occur during delivery of a product within a supply chain due to temperature and/or delivery excursions, wherein fuzzy classes are generated for the product?s environmental temperature (26), storage temperature (30), number of transit points (32), and transit duration (34), the fuzzy classes being combined into unified temperature and unified temporal indexes, wherein an excursion is detected if a measured index is outside a predetermined range.
