Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and method for transmitting web content. The system comprises of a web server (100), a mediator (200), and a plurality of computing devices (300). The system is able to reduce the number of identical WAN connections and to make higher utilization of the LAN bandwidth for contents delivery. This is done by dynamically allocating at least one computing device (300a) within the LAN to act as a mobile server and thereon, the rest of the computing devices (300b) requesting for the same content are directed to the allocated computing device to receive the requested content rather than receiving the content directly from the web server (100).

THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR USE IN DOCUMENT VIEWING BETWEEN A PLURALITY OF DEVICES, INCLUDING THE CAPABILITY TO SWITCH OR TRANSFER DOCUMENT VIEWING SESSION TO ANOTHER DEVICE DURING AN ON-GOING VIEWING SESSION. THE MOST ILLUSTRATIVE DRAWING IS
Abstract:
A plurality of user devices (UD1 ... UDn, TD1 ... TDn) adapted to communicate in Session Initiation Protocol communicatively coupled with a session transfer application server (301) hosted on an IMS subsystem (201 ). Upon receiving a session transfer request from an end user device (UD1), the server (301) alerts or rings all registered target devices (TD1 ... TDn) by the same user, and leaves the user himself or herself to select which device he/she prefers to take the session forward at the point of time. Once the selection has been made, the system, by a series of SIP messages cancels the alerting or ringing session on the remaining devices and transfers the session between the first user (U1) and second user (U2) to a target device (TD1) of the first user.

THERE IS DISCLOSED A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE IN RICH INTERNET APPLICATION (RIA) SESSION TRANSFER BETWEEN AT LEAST TWO DEVICES, ONE BEING THE ORIGINAL DEVICE AND ANOTHER IS THE ALTERNATIVE DEVICE TO WHICH THE SESSION TRANSFER IS PERFORMED. BOTH DEVICES ARE INSTALLED WITH A SESSION MANAGEMENT AGENT (100) FOR SENDING NOTIFICATIONS AND COMMUNICATING EVENT TRANSFER AND A DYNAMIC SESSION MANAGEMENT SERVER (200) FOR RECEIVING SAID NOTIFICATION, MONITORING DEVICE STATUS AND THUS SYNCHRONIZING COPIES OF RIA SESSION OBJECTS ACROSS DEVICES. Abstract:
A method of performing automatic callback notifier on reversed missed calls through network based enabler helps a caller to reach a callee by making reference to the presence status and subscribed to the callback service (115) provided by the network service providers. This method extends the functionality of existing device with a feature that prompts users to auto callback the callee who cannot be reached previously but is currently becoming available. This feature works by determining the presence status of the callee (215). Whenever the callee turns his status presence from "Not available" to "Available", the caller device will be acknowledged. This allows the caller device to automatically prompt the caller to proceed calling back the same callee (225).
