Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the double feed of paper sheets and besides to prevent jamming of a paper sheets. SOLUTION: A claw material 13 is erected at a paper feed cassette 10 and comprises a paper regulating part 61 consisting of a lower wide part 63 and an upper narrow part 64; and a claw part 62 bent approximately orthogonally from the narrow part 64 toward a rear end in a paper feed direction. The paper feed cassette 10 is provided with an elastic film member 15 disposed at the paper regulating part 61. The elastic film member 15 is situated closer to the right end side than the narrow part 64 of the paper regulating part 61 and disposed above the wide part 63. An upper end is positioned approximately at the same height as that of the claw part 62 and a film surface is stuck on the narrow part 64 and the wide part 63. This elastic film member 15 is formed of a synthetic resin film having elasticity, and only the paper sheet at a topmost stage of a paper bundle P0 is fed by an elastic force.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of image quality by a method wherein a paper sheet is stably bent when the forward end of the paper sheet makes contact with a resist roller pair. SOLUTION: A paper conveyance route 2 extending from a paper feed cassette 10 to a resist roller pair 34 comprises a paper guide mechanism 3 consisting of conveyance guides 35 and 36, reversing roller 32, a paper conveyance guide 33, and a conveyance guides 37 and 38. The paper guide mechanism 3 reverses a paper sheet conveyed from the paper feed cassette 10 along the paper conveyance route 2 and generates bending when the forward end of the paper sheet guided to the resist roller pair 34 makes contact with the resist roller pair 34. A protrusion part 61 protruding toward the paper conveyance route 2 is formed on the paper conveyance guide 33. The protrusion 61 regulates backward movement of the rear end side of the paper sheet toward the paper feed cassette 10 after bending is formed.

An auxiliary placing part 24 is further mounted on the discharge paper placing part 22.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable an adequate paper sheet forward feed to function regardless of the number of paper sheets, by providing the first spring member to energize a presser member constantly, and the second spring member to energize the presser member together with the first spring member only in case that the number of held paper sheets is more than a specific number. CONSTITUTION:While both ends of a spring member SP are fixed to the holding member Sea of an upper casing 101a, the spring member SP is composed of the first and the second tension coil springs SP1 and SP2 extending in the direction almost orthogonal to the paper sheet conveying direction K. While the first tension coil spring SP1 energizes a presser member 106b constantly, the second tension coil spring SP2 is fixed at the position to energize the presser member only in case that the number of paper sheets led in to the leading-in member 103a of a paper sheet conveying passage 103 is more than a specific number. As a result, when the paper sheets being held is more than a specific number of sheets, the presser member 106b is energized strongly by the first and the second tension coil springs SP1 and SP2.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper conveying device to stably and reliably feed a paper sheets even when the paper sheet on a paper supporting means are fed in a given paper feed direction by rotating paper feed roller at least one full turn or more. SOLUTION: When a paper feed roller 30 comes to a second full turn, only a solenoid 61 is brought into an ON-state, a lever 63 is rotated to a moving- evacuating position and separated away from the claw part 34a of a collar 34, a rotation force from the motor is transmitted to a rotary shaft 32 and a paper feed roller 30, a cam 33, and the collar 34 are started to integrally rotate to restart conveyance of the paper sheets. In this case, a solenoid 81 is left in an OFF-state, and a lift plate 20 is locked by a lever 83 and kept in a state to be positioned in a lowering position. Thereby, the lift plate 20 is prevented from vertical movement in the middle of paper feed processing after a lapse of an initial stage.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To exchange an image sensor only and to reduce the maintenance cost of it by fixing a thin plate preventing an original from being collided with an upper end section of the image sensor to an original guide plate. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular recessed section 102b is formed in the upstream end section of a carrying direction K of an opening P9b provided on an original guide plate 102 and one part of a 'Lumirror(R)' 120 is affixed on the recessed section 102b. The 'Lumirror(R)' 120 guides the original from the upstream side in the carrying direction of the image sensor 109 to the upper surface of a contact glass 109d with it stretching over the upstream side in the carrying direction of a contact glass 109b of the image sensor 109 and the recessed section 102b so as to prevent the original from being collided with the upper end section 109g at the upstream side in the carrying direction of the contact glass 109d of the image sensor 109. The 'Lumirror(R)' 120 is fixed at the position high enough to prevent the collision between the end section 120a on the upstream in the carrier direction of the 'Lumirror(R)' 120 and the original.

CONSTITUTION:The handling part 117 of a handling paper feeding means 107 projects to the downstream side of a bending part 103b, and it has a main handling member 117a to handle plural paper sheets in one sheet in cooperation with a paper feeding roller 107a, and an auxiliary handling member 117b provided at the upstream side of the main handling member 117a, and to limit the number of papers fed to the main handling member 117a. As a result, the paper sheets led in to the leading-in port 103a of a paper sheet conveying passage 103 are limited at a specific number of sheets at the upstream side of a bending 103b, at first, by the auxiliary handling member 117b, and then, conveyed sheet by sheet to the downstream side at the downstream side of the bending 103b by the main handling member 117a. As a result, a poor conveying and a double feeding at the handling paper feeding means 107 can be prevented securely.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an automatic paper feeding mechanism which can distribute evenly the energizing force by a tension spring means along the whole body of a pressure receiving surface, and can exercise a highly accurate sheet forward feed function, by forming the pressure receiving surface of a presser member in a bending form to bend the intermediate parts of tension spring means in the lateral hanging direction, in a projection form. CONSTITUTION:In a presser member 106b, a pressure receiving surface 106s to hang laterally tension coil springs SP1 and SP2 to receive the energizing force by a spring means SP is provided. This pressure receiving surface 106s is formed in a bending form to bend the intermediate parts of the tension coil springs SP1 and SP2 in the lateral hanging direction of the spring member SP, in a projection form. Consequently, the energizing force by the tension coil springs SP1 and SP2 of the spring means SP can be distributed evenly along the whole body of the pressure receiving surface, regardless of the behavior of the presser member 106b in the holding direction. As a result, the paper sheet holding force when the paper sheets are fed forward can be stabilized constantly, and a highly accurate paper sheet forward feed function can be exercised.
