Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a detergent compsn. having excellent foaming properties and foam breaking properties, little irritating properties, and a good feel in use by using a specific N-acyltaurine salt and a specific fatty amide deriv. CONSTITUTION: A detergent compsn. comprises (A) a sec. amide type N- acyltaurine salt of the following formula: R CONHCH2 CH2 SO3 M (wherein R CO is 10-16C linear acyl; and M is Na, K or alkanolammonium), and (B) a fatty amide deriv. of the formula [wherein R is 8-20C alkyl; and R and R are each H, 1-3C alkyl, 1-3C hydroxyalkyl, or -(C2 H4 O)m H (wherein m is 2 to 4)]. The amt. of the component (B) blended is pref. 0.1 to 10wt.%, esp. pref. 1 to 5wt.%, based on the compsn. The total amt. of the components (A) and (B) blended is pref. 5 to 50wt.% based on the compsn. in the case of a liq. detergent, 15 to 70wt.% based on the compsn. in the case of a paste detergent, and 40 to 95wt.% based on the compsn. in the case of a solid detergent. The A to B blending ratio is pref. such that A/B=100/1 to 2/1 (in terms of wt. ratio). If necessary, the compsn. may further comprise a higher fatty acid salt.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a detergent compsn. having excellent foaming properties, foam quality and foam persistence, little irritating properties and good foam breaking properties, and giving a good feel after washing therewith by using a specific N-acyltaurine salt and a cationic polymer. CONSTITUTION: This detergent compsn. comprises (A) a sec. amide type N- acyltaurine salt of the formula: RCONHCH2 CH2 SO3 M (wherein RCO is 10-16C linear acyl; and M is Na, K or alkanolammonium), and (B) a cationic polymer (e.g. cationized cellulose). The amt. of the component (A) blended in the detergent compsn. is pref. 5 to 50wt.% based on the compsn. in the case of a liq. detergent, 15 to 70wt.% based on the compsn. in the case of a paste detergent, and 40 to 95wt.% based on the compsn. in the case of a solid detergent. On the other hand, the amt. of the component (B) blended is pref. 0.01 to 5.0wt.%, esp. pref. 0.05 to 2.0wt.%. If necessary, the compsn. may further be blended with (C) a higher fatty acid salt (e.g. triethanolamine laurate). The amt. of the component (C) blended is pref. such that C/(A+B)=1/20 to 1/2 (in terms of wt. ratio).

The content of phenols or metal salts thereof is set to 0.5-40mol% with respect to the polyvalent metal salt of the salicylic acid derivative and the polyvalent metal salt of the salicylic acid derivative is a polyvalent metal salt of a styrene substituted salicylic acid derivative and sulfonated phenols are styrene substituted sulfonated phenols. This coupler is obtained by reacting styrenes with salicylic acids and phenols to obtain a resin and reacting a polyvalent metal compd. with the resin.
