PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transmitting primary and secondary synchronization channels, and to provide an apparatus thereof. SOLUTION: During operation, a transmitter transmits a primary synchronization channel (P-SCH) in a subframe and a secondary synchronization channel (S-SCH) in the subframe. The S-SCH is modulated by a complex exponential wave and scrambled by a scrambling code. In a certain embodiment, the P-SCH comprises a GCL sequence or a Zadoff-Chu sequence, and the scrambling code uses the GCL sequence index of the P-SCH. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for fast cell search in a communication system for reducing the overhead of the communication system caused by a number of cell identifiers. SOLUTION: Reference sequences are constructed from distinct "classes" of GCL sequences that have an optimal cyclic cross correlation property. The fast cell search method disclosed detects the "class indices" with simple processing. In a system deployment that uniquely maps sequences of certain class indices along with a circular shift amount in time domain to certain cells/cell IDs, the identification of a sequence index, and its circular shift will therefore provide an identification of the cell ID. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicarrier transmission system and receiving apparatus for multicarrier transmission capable of controlling a method of despreading a pilot channel while considering the state of a transmission line in multicarrier transmission. SOLUTION: A reception apparatus 40 which receives a multicarrier CDMA signal from a transmission apparatus 20, despreads a pilot symbol in a pilot channel despreading section 44. A parameter control section 48 succeeds a result of despreading from the pilot channel despreading section 44 and estimates a despreading rate of a pilot channel which is orthogonal with another multiplexed channel group. The parameter control section 48 estimates a transmission line and calculates a delay spread. The derived despreading rate and delay spread of the pilot channel are then used to determine the pilot channel despreading rate while referring to a despreading method determination table. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OFDM communication device capable of conducting high quality transmission even if electric power for synchronization preamble is reduced. SOLUTION: At a symbol synchronization method in an OFDM communication device, a zero amplitude reduced preamble signal is obtained by passing a predetermined synchronization preamble into an ideal low-pass filter to reduce signal components near a zero amplitude in a time domain. An OFDM signal to be transmitted is generated by time-multiplexing the zero amplitude reduced preamble signal with data to be transmitted. At a receiver side, reciprocal correlation between a predetermined synchronization preamble having a pattern same as a transmitter side and a received signal is determined, and a synchronization position is detected based on the cross correlation. A method and apparatus is provided for transmitting an orthogonal frequency domain multiple access (OFDMA) signal including a synchronization channel signal transmitted within a localized portion of a bandwidth of the OFDMA signal, the synchronization channel signal having predetermined time domain symmetry within the localized portion of the bandwidth and including information for providing at least partial cell identification information. The synchronization channel signal enables an initial acquisition and cell search method with low computational load which provides OFDMA symbol timing detection and frequency error detection and frame boundary detection and cell specific information detection in an OFDMA system supporting multiple system bandwidths, both synchronized and un-synchronized systems, a large cell index and an OFDMA symbol structure with both short and long cyclic prefix length.

Se construyen secuencias de referencia a partir de ôclasesö diferenciadas de secuencias GCL que tienen una propiedad optima de correlacion cruzada cíclica. El método de la busqueda veloz de celda expuesto detecta los ôíndices de claseö con procesamiento simple. En un despliegue del sistema que correlaciona de modo unico las secuencias de ciertos índices de clase junto con una cantidad de desplazamiento circular en el dominio de tiempo con ciertas celdas y ciertas ID de celdas, la identificacion de un índice de secuencia y su desplazamiento circular proveen por lo tanto una identificacion de ID de celda.

Se provee un método y un aparato para transmitir un canal de sincronización primario y secundario. Durante la operación, un transmisor transmite un canal de sincronización primario (P-SCH) en un submarco y un canal de sincronización secundario (S- SCH) en el submarco. El S-SCH es modulado por una onda exponencial compleja y objeto de scramble con un código de scramble. En ciertas formas de realización de la presente, el P-SCH comprende una secuencia GCL o una secuencia Zadoff-Chu y el código de scramble se basa en el índice de la secuencia GCL del P-SCH.
