Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power amplifier that more accurately controls power of an adjacent channel and a next to the adjacent channel transmitted by the power amplifier over a broad band. SOLUTION: This power amplifier circuit adjusts a load to control power of an adjacent channel and of a next to the adjacent channel. A power amplifier 172 amplifies an input signal to generate an amplified signal. A variable impedance network 174 provides a different impedance to an output of the power amplifier 172 in response to a load control signal. A peak detector 180 provides an instruction of a peak average ratio of the amplified signal. The peak detector 180 and a controller 184 connected to the variable impedance network 174 generate a load control signal in response to the instruction of the peak average ratio.
