    Abstract: An integrated, differential, symmetrical-hysteresis trigger circuit includes an input differential amplifier using lateral PNP-transistors, driving an output differential switch using cascaded NPN-transistors. A first current source supplies operating current to the input differential amplifier and a second current source provides operating current for the emitters of the transistors in the output differential amplifier. The collector of one of the output differential amplifier transistors is connected to a third current source, providing current which is less than that provided by the first and second current sources; and a feedback circuit provides snap-action switching of the output differential amplifier. The hysteresis of operation of the circuit is controlled by the magnitude of the emitter resistors in the input differential stage.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a monolithic voltage regulator having a high current capability, a constant low output impedance from DC to several hundred kilocycles, and a high ripple reduction factor. The regulator has excellent transient response; it provides a wide range of regulated output voltage and has a low temperature drift. The voltage regulator includes a voltage standard or bias source, an input differential amplifier stage having a pair of transistors coupled to a current sink (a current source passing current to ground), and one of the transistors in the pair is connected through a current gain stage to an output terminal. A DC reference shifting circuit is connected to the input of one transistor in the pair and provides a reference voltage to the differential amplifier stage which has been translated to provide the required voltage level at the output terminal. The output terminal is connected directly to the input of the other transistor in the pair in order to achieve a unity feed back factor to provide excellent constant loop performance independent of the output voltage. The direct coupled feedback connection eliminates any undesirable gain loss and phase shifting due to resistance in the input circuits of the differentially coupled transistor pair.

    Abstract: An amplifier is provided to be used as a driver for a class A power transistor amplifier particularly adapted to be operated in the audio frequency range. The performance of the complete audio system is characterized by high openloop gain and minimized phase shift around the closed feedback loop. This allows excellent frequency performance with low distortion over the entire audio range at power levels greater than one watt. The driver portion of the amplifier allows the overall performance of the audio system to be independent of B variations of the power transistor and B variations of the transistors used in the driver itself. The driver portion can easily be fabricated as an integrated circuit if desired.

    Abstract: Circuit for coupling to first and second current paths in which differentially related currents flow for providing a single output current which represents the differentially related currents.
